Vrs le

Featured Replies

Seems that one has pitched up at Benfield in Harrogate. It's on the fourcourt.

Still got all the transport tape on. I though these had all gone ages ago.

If anyone's interested!

Harry good choice, the Standard Oct II VRS is already an astonishing bargain performance/spec v cost ratio to other cars I was looking myself at 1 year old cars when I found out about the LE, but with the VAT removed of OTR price, Italian leather seats that are even better than the £800 Leather upgrade option, Bolero CD/MP3/SD unusual grey metallic paint spec. And delivery milage for £17K on a 09 plate, the LE is the best bargain I have ever been lucky enough to land in my motoring life, and that includes my first Mk I Oct VRS 1.8T.

there are several on autotrader right now..

Sparsatts in Fareham have one in the showroom, model number 101, which i spotted last week.

I popped in to have a nose and have to be honest and say I didn't like it.

The seats look like they've been to the gym and are on steroids

The wheels are iffy to say the least and the steering wheel centre looks like an afterthought.

I liked the centre dash though.

I think they still have the delivery chocks in the springs also as it sits very very high.

Ian well done you are the first person I have seen who does not like the seats. Wheels can be changed, great interior & unusual colour for a VRS. Stunning cars. I like the normal VRS but the LE is a step up from that.

Don't get me wrong.........if they had been out when i was looking for my new car a few months back i may have had one and ended up being very happy with it.

But if I put mine alongside the LE I would prefer mine.

Mine is white with lowered suspension, 18" zeniths, sat nav and a full leather interior upgrade amongst a few other toys and as an all round package it is hard to beat IMO.

The LE looks like a run out model. Basically the same car with a bit of jewellery added to move them on.

I confess though that I do love the colour.

If they did it lowered, in met grey, with normal steering wheel, 18" zeniths and the new seats.......that would be some car

Ian this must be a matter of taste as I think these seats are in a different league to the £800 Optional one I have seen in the dealers when trawling for a new VRS.

The LE gives an excellent platform to go and tweak, it can have lowered suspension, new 18” wheels in anthracite too (that would match the paintwork) and the colour is a one off for the pre-facelift VRS. VFM wise I have mentioned this too, that with the VAT removed and deals going at some dealer, a brand new 09 plate with delivery mileage - is coming in at 17K, look at the existing VRS models with one year on the clock on dealer forecourts to see what a bargain this is. (ie with £800 leather option on them !!)

I'd have to agree about the seats - Ive got standard ones on my VRS and Ive been in a VRS LE and VRS with the optional dealer fit leather and the VRS LE seats are in a different league in respect of quality. They also offer better support imo. :)

Used Cars - Palmers Skoda Watford

Check out the link above and see why these LEs are such a bargain compare them with the 08 models above. Remember they have no mileage, are 09 plates, have a superior leather interior to the £800 leather option you see on the demo - they only require £500-600 on new 18" rims if they bother you so much (I had thought of doing this but find the LE rims acceptable). At this point VFM wise nothing comes close in Skoda world. The only thing they require is possibly options you'd need to have put on a standard VRS that would have take the price to £23-24K. You have a lot of money left over to do such tweaking.

Focusm the step up from my Oct Mk I VRS seats to the LEs is huge. I have only seen the £800 leather otpion once and that was before I got me LE, the LE is in a different league over the already decent £800 option.

Mine seem to be different to the ones in your photo. They are black perforated leather with coloured stitching and colour stitched vRS logo on them.

I agree with you that the LE ones look better than the ones in your photo.

I will try to post a photo of mine later.

Here you go.

These look much better (IMO of course)

Would be interested to get your opinions :D

Excuse the state of the interior...............kids at the beach Monday night.

Ian those are definately a big step up from the leather seats I have seen (ie the one in the picture) but the LEs are still a notch above them I reckon for the 2 tone colour and extra panels, the LEs have the same piping detail around the back as your except not in red but white piping trim. Nice seats though mate.

Thanks.

The quality of the LE seats is unquestionably very good indeed. Perhaps the style will grow on me. After all, I didn't like my vRS in white much when I first got it but now I love it. It looks really great lowered and gleaming clean.

Prefer the LE but ther again am abit bias I find them very comfortable on long drives etc and look really cool.. wish my stomatch had all those ripples... I only have one

Was going to put this on a new tread but since its title I imaging most LE onwers will look here........Question?? Are all the LE`s interiors the same. At the Gayton skoda day I noticed the TDI LE version had a crome cap on the gear stick while my TSI has a matt finish matching the grey horizontal strips. What has yours got???

My Estate TDI LE - Shiny Chrome Finish, great for tapping along to when the radio is going full blast.

Mine has the shiny chrome as well, maybe it was mine you saw at Gaydon, A_Duncan ;).

I must admit the seats in the LE are probably it's biggest wow factor.

Just noticed they've got 2 TDI LE estates at Willis's if anyone in the area is interested. At a shade under £17 k now, I wonder if I should have held off for a while. Nah, still like my hatch. hehe.

Yes it was yours, and nice meeting you on the day ........ its strange I thought all LE`s were the same am sure there`s a few other bits that are different.. I will have to take a closer at the TDI`s LE next time I come across one....Be interesting to here from other TSI LE owners to see what they have thou........Estates still available?? Absolute bargin at that price

my gearstick has chrome cap on it has well

Yep - Can't say enough that at £17K for a new LE Estate, the stunning bargain it is, it amazes me that a 1 year old VRS Estate in Black or Silver with 2K-10K on the clock can be selling for £15-17K on Forecourts with no leather seats when these stunning cars are about.

Please, please give it a rest about the LE FFS.

The LE IMHO is a step sideways, not a step up from the normal vRS.

Have you ever thought of joining the Jehovah's Witness brigade.

Brymar wind yer neck in mate, maybe you should look at the Skoda UK website for used cars & see what you get for £17K used in VRS land:

Škoda - Used Cars

I apologise if I am boring you with the point that a brand new LE is a better deal than a 1 year old VRS with miles on the clock, we all have different interests in Skoda, but I think it is a good thing to highlight to people with say £16-17K in the pocket about to buy a VRS can get a brand new LE for the same money. I have seen info here in the past that helped me purchase my 1.8T VRS Oct I.

BTW this is an LE thread it is OK to comment about the LE & my views on the car in it?

PS can you direct me to the local JW branch for 18” Anthracite alloys?, FFS mate give a rest about them will ya? ;)
