Guys - I think we should leave things where they are and just agree to disagree. I can see both sides of things but ultimately life is too short. ;)

We are all here for (basically) the same reason so lets enjoy it for what it is; an interest.

New vRS leather seat option (sorry if this is duplicate, couldn't see this image elsewhere)

Note: these new seats differ from second of seat with memory etc as they are not perforated in centre section.

Well I like both of those :)

Just to add my 2p worth, I have just swapped my 2008 L&K TDI DSG for an LE hatch and have no regrets at all. The L&K was a well equipped car and DSG was good, but the driving experience was missing something and no toys can substitute for that.

The CR engine is much better that the previous PD engine and the leather seats in the LE are just fantastic, the only toy I am missing is the rain sensitive wipers and probably the auto dimming mirror come winter, everything else is nice to have but not needed although on an estate the parking sensors are useful.

Forgot to add for anyone interested, Alex Laurie have several CR LE hatchbacks new and unregistered for 16K. They are not advertised on Autotrader or on their used stock list.

Any new LE owners should check out the thread on the LE badge. Skoda are sending replacement badges via their dealers just now.

I still think the price these LE’s are going for is a steal just now, considering Anthracite paint, Maxidot, Bolero CD/MP3/SD Audio, Cruise, 18” Alloys, delivery mileage, Leather seats that are stunning, No VAT £16-£17K. Best money I have ever spent on a new car.

Funnily enough I spotted a 09 Anthracite VRS on the way to work today, pre FL model, was surprised to see it whizz past still looked lovely though, dying to see a fellow LE owner on the roads.

Can't believe they're not selling even at that price

Edited.

I will have to get down to the dealers then...Had mine on order for weeks. whats your thoughts on the new style badge??? for those thats got one fitted

Mentioning about seeing another LE..........would you believe it theres one less that 500 yards away from me ........yet to get the individual No. maybe someone on here? there goes my exclusivity in Redcar, his rear badge looks ok

a-duncan, I would just mention the fact that you have read on the Skoda forums that dealers are currently sending out replacements for existing LE owners, you are best asking on the LE thread about the new badge it is described on there in detail, spoke to my dealer today, he says there is a sticky adhesive strip on the back of the new one for sticking onto the car.

.

I think mine has the new badge already, the letters are not recessed and non have fallen off yet:D

I’d imagine Silver that dealers are replacing them on any LE’s they have in stock, yours was probably changed recently. Sounds like you have the new improved badge, easiest way to check, the old badge letters were stickers that we recessed into the badge. Ie when red letters peeled off you were/are left with a black badge like this:

Yep, mine is different so much be the new 'improved' version then.

How old will that stock be now!

Steve

I think they are a steal too, I just wish I was in a position to buy one.

The only thing I don't like about them is the wheels, and thats an easy swap I'm sure!

I used to share the same opinion about the wheels initially, but they look better in the flesh and now they have dusted nicely they look like dark chrome and look rather cool along with the grey colour of the car.:D

Tom, Silver, I am another who was not convinced by the wheels until I received the car either, I changed my mind when I seen them in the flesh though, there are nicer looking 18” ers IMHO, the Neptunes look magnificent but the Monza’s are acceptable to me just now. One day though a set of Neptunes should get added to the LE.
