VRS CR DSG Black or White

Featured Replies

Well my company car list came out today as I'm due to change the Leon. Really fancy a Leon FR for it's fantastic drive again in white with black wheels but new facelift model features a truly hideous lump in the boot for the spare wheel which makes an already tight boot feel like a Lotus boot.

So, I fancied the DSG for the Leon 170bhp FR and now fancy the same engine and transmission on a VRS. Not so keen on blue as it's a bit common (albeit a lovely colour) so I've narrowed down to a white with some matt black coloured 18'' Zeniths or a black with black wheels too. Just concerned the black wheels and black body colour may look a bit overkill. Although I did think the red calipers behind the black wheels would like fantastic.

I know I could keep the wheels standard colour but theres is something about a nicely coated set of wheels.

Other than the black grill mod what have people done with their black VRS to make them stand out?

Also regards the white, what have people done to theirs? I did see a nice matt black grill on one. Never seen a white VRS, would the new LED daytime runners look as impressive on a white car?

got to be white, looks awesome and quite aggresive in the flesh!

I would go for white with dark wheels, if you went for Black, go for the silver roofrails and see if there are chrome or aluminium wing mirror covers available and colour code your grill. There is a Black with dark wheels on this forum ( "the brymer" I think) to have a look at.

at least it has a spare!

White.

I'll be changing my car in Spring and I'll more than likely go for white and see if I can come to some arrangement to get the wheels painted gloss black :D

I decided to go for white having already had a black one and just fancied a change. I'm please I did now.

I've been thinking of getting the wheels re-sprayed a darker colour but whether I'll actually ever bother is a different story.

Bloody hell decision made even harder by the 2 pics above !

For me it would be white with dark wheels.

If it's a facelift one you're getting, it's got to be white on gunmetal / anthracite / black wheels.

Can you spec anthracite wheels on the facelift vRS?

Nope.

Which is a great shame as white cars really suit dark wheels. Come on Skoda, the people have spoken.

Maybe a friendly dealer will let us know if they would do it pre-delivery for a customer? It would be easier than standing the car on bricks whilst the wheels are away for re-colouring once you have the car.

Place I had mine done, I just took the car there at 9 and they were done by 15:30. They took the wheels off and rebalanced them and refitted them after. It was £220 all in.

Has to be white.. this one is nicest one i have seen

I second that, truly awesome, I have black one now and will replace it with white...........probably!:D

Still think I was the white car/black wheels trend setter - my pride and joy in 1995!

White all the way!!!!!! You can have what ever colour wheels you want with a white car.... Hell you could even get em spray'd in the skoda green and it would work:D

Go for the white but don't get the wheels gloss I almost made that mistake but got the satin finish and asked the guy the paint the grill at the same time.love the white have to say and find it easy to keep clean but then I do wash it every day (sad I know)

Oh people, how many times do we have to have the discussion about black wheels or anthracite on a white car...they look ****e. Stick with standard it looks soo much better IMO.
