Cork 20 - Scumbags try to put leader out

Unbelievable

Sick :(

shocking! I cant believe anyone would do that, is it possible that rallying now have yobs? The person who does this should be strung up, I'm guess that the sabotor is the kind of person who would hurl bricks at cars on the main road, the sort of person that has sexual relationships with his sisters and cousins, ok that was out of order but I do think there is inbreeding involved somewhere.

Alot of lads here reckon it was business related, ie: not a yob but a deliberate attempt to harm the driver concerned, gardai are allgedly looking into it... :(

which is just shameful! Rally has enough problems as it is without ejiots like that.

true...

(as an aside i've always spelled it 'Eejit" could be just my accent though ;), anyone got an offical spelling? ;):D )

There have been a few instances in the WRC of stone being thrown at a few of the top guys, Gronholm was one if my memory serves me correct.

@Fivepint "Business related", I'd be interested to hear more, PM me

be it one of the top guys or a small independant, none of it is good! It's a sport of which I though was played and watched by gentlemen. Is it possible that rally is akin to football?

This sort of actions by braindead "eejits" (thank you for the correct spelling lol) is something that should carry a life time ban from the sport as well as a visit to a nice cold cell

I wouldn't say all rally chaps are gentleman. There were a few right moody sods on the plains rally - no please or thank yous just a time card thrust at you.

It would be very hard to police spectators on stages over here. If theres a will theres a way.

Rally is in no way akin to football. Whoever did this is no fan of rallying, it appears they were there for one purpose and one purpose only - and it wasn't to watch rally cars.

That seems to be the case alright, but surely they could have went about it in a way which would get less media attention.
