Hi im a First time visitor, so sorry if go on about nothing

i currently drive a 57 plate octavia 2.0T VRS h/back

had many hot hatches, civic type R, Leon Cupra R and Golf GTi, but must admit my octavia VRS (my little boy has given it the nick name "rory" from the kids programme rory the racing car) is the best car ive had. its roomy for holidays, comfy for taking out the in laws and quick for a friday night burn up.

due to an addition to the family i am looking for an Estate (dont ask why as i know the boot is nearly the same size) but hey good excuse to swap if for a new car.

does any one know of any dealerships who are up for doing a cracking deal at the moment (not bothered if pre-facelift as not that fond of latest model) plus a technical question now, im not a big diesel fan and dont really do the mileage to qualify for a diesel but i heard that if you just potter around in a PD diesel the PDF filter blocks causing car to go into limp mode, dos any one know if thw same is to be said about new CR engine

Welcome. The diesel particulate filter does need a reasonably brisk drive irrespective of the engine type. This doesn't mean driving it like you stole it, merely driving a reasonable distance at a steady pace.
