how to completely confuse the pd105 tdi using only brake,clutch&accelerator....

Featured Replies

Wierd, but tonight I decided to practise a little heel and toe around the lanes. up into top gear with a fair bit of speed on the straight, heel and toe for the curve in the road ahead, on the brake, into third, blip the accelerator, off the clutch, accelerator to the floor.......... and......... erm.......... nothing ! the revs sit where they were (nowhere near the limiter) and then after a count of 3 or 4 seconds (and this really isn't turbo lag) off you go again ! lol

hillarious, does it every time, only way to avoid is to come back off the accelerator after the clutch is up and re-press the accelerator again !

looks like a bit of a slip up in the ECU programming

maybe the remap I'm having on thursday will tackle this ? we'll have to see

has anyone else noticed this ?

strange stuff

They all do it.

It's a safety feature iirc.

No your map won't remove it sorry.

HTH

It is a safety feature :)

Most drive-by-wire cars do it, unless specifically set-up to allow it.

Thanks for the replies, I just noticed that this has been covered elsewhere on the forum, sorry, I should have checked first

see.......... computers really are talking over our lives !

thanks

Paul

If by you mean heel and toe, half your right foot on the accelerater and the other half on the brake ?

Similar mehod to left foot braking where you balance the accelerater & brake simultaneously.

On all VAG cars, if the brake is activated, then all power is cut !

Can be a nussence at times !!

My twin cam doesn't have this ;)

Learn Roadcraft, then there's no need to use the brakes :D
