Web mail query

Featured Replies

Hi

Non-techy neighbour (like me!) has a laptop at home and uses Outlook Express to download his ntlworld.com email via his ntl cable broadband.

He wants to take his laptop to his rural cottage and has got a Virgin.net dialup account which is all he can use at this place in the sticks.

What does he have to do to get his email at his cottage? Is it just a case of getting it via an account on ntl webmail?

Should the box in his Outlook Express account have the ' Leave a copy of messages on the server' ticked to make it all work? (It's XP)

Any help greatly appreciate.

Thanks

He will still be able to download mail to his laptop via Outlook express on dial-up bt will be slower and any attachments could take a while.

It may be best to use the NTL webmail interface if they have that option.

The option to leave mail on the server is a bit pointless as it would just mean any e-mail he viewed whilst away would download again on his return.
