Skoda Forcing me to Get More Power. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou

Featured Replies

Well my beloved Blue Bullet has developed a "fault"

Their is "apparently" ;) a hole in the Turbo Down pipe. So rather than pay out for a Miltek one i rang Skoda to find out how much it would be for a New Downpipe & Cat.

To my utter shock & disbelief i was quoted £750 all in

That was the cheapest i could find out of 7 different garages

I would love to know how they Justify that price. But I'm sure glad they do charge that much as it was the perfect excuse to go for the Miltek.

So to that end i am getting a Miltek TBE, Hi-Flow Cat fitted for a lot lot less. Plus i am getting Stage 2+ aswell and it still comes out less than just the Exhaust bits from Skoda.

So on the one hand Skoda your Ripping us off.

On the other Keep up the good work as it makes convincing the Domestic Financial Advisor (i.e. the Fiancee :D:D) a damn sight easier :D:D:D

Nice work Carl

Why did you need to go to SEVEN suppliers ? I'd have thought a couple would have been enough to convince her

Looks nice but:

Milltek is 2.75" Bore (69.85mm) and 100cpsi

So better overall :D

I've been looking at exhausts recently - is the Blueflame setup not that well regarded? They seem to be a little cheaper with a less restrictive CAT.

how much!!!!! thats horrendous.

are you fitting it yourself, mine only took an hour and half, dead easy job. are you going to get dyno with the stage 2+. be good to see the comparison of stage 2 and 2+ graphs from the same car. i drove my friends GTI with revo2+ and i dont think theres any need for k04 conversion as it was absolutely rapid.

I might be getting a graph simon ;)

I'm not fitting it myself. I'd rather get someone who knows what they are doing

Plus i've got a comeback if something goes wrong

Carl:thumbup:

isnt a miltek with hiflow car around £1k ?

Thats for the Whole system.

I already have the Cat Back Exhaust from Miltek

HTH

Carl:thumbup:

i had a discussion a while back with a fellow briskodian about the price for bits at skoda e.g. exhaust and how much cheaper a performance one was from else where. kinda makes you wonder, thought skoda would be cheapest making it seem more reasonable to get one from them than go for a performance option which in theory would be more expensive.

Will you need to tell the insurers? if so make sure they know it was cheaper than the genuine skoda bits.

I'm with a Specialist Company anyway.

But as the power will increase then yes i will tell them.

Plus they do like for like so if it ever broke or got damaged they would replace with a Milltek rather than a OEM one

Carl:thumbup:

carl who you insured with, as im now posted back to UK, kent in fact, so now i need to re-insure with a uk company.

devestated, no more tax free fuel. wil have to drive slower now:thumbdwn:
