Name that part! Afternoon game.

Featured Replies

Yesterday I noticed that both rear doors were suffering from the common leak.

Needless to say 20 mins later I had them both stripped down and sealed up again. However once I closed the rear left door after it was all put back together I noticed this thing lying on the ground.

What does it do?

The window works, the door lock works and the handle works.

Something is rattling like hell now so whether it's related or if it's just another Skoda rattle I don't know.

Cheers,

John

Is is the part that pops up the door lock pins?

dunno but it looks important lol

Nice hand's,what male skin products are you using ?

You diddn't leave that part out did you!!!!!!!:eek::eek:

That was a really bad move, and if I knew what it was I would tell you how to refit it before the door falls off, but I don't so I wont.

I figured I'd get the above responses

The door pins aren't visible on the rear doors and like I said they both still lock and unlock quite happily.

Fat Boy Slim - I have a male hand model for instances such as this, if only my hands were so soft.

roo - Leaving it out may have been a risk but I'm sure my car is faster because of it! ;)

In all seriousness it's probably just a clp or something. As long as the door still works fully I would not worry about it until you get a chance to take the door apart again to have a better look at it.

Does the interior light come on when you open a rear door?! It looks like a switch...

If they come on when opening either door, then I'd just say it was an extra to go into the extra's and spares bin:rofl:

Ooo the light, I'll try that and see if it works.

Didnt drop a lighter did you?? Looks like the bit that pushes the flint up. Haha.

I agree it does look like a sprung contact switch, although no wiring.

It's the flux capacitor, so you have lost the ability to time travel.:D

This may seem like an odd suggestion... but are you sure it wasn't on the floor before hand? lol... I've done that before..

Back door you say.... Does the child lock still work?

Whatever it is it has two operational positions and is held in the compressed position by the spring and twisting into that little shelffy bit.
