Yeah, have fun with the throttling.

Of course, if you don't do torrents or use your computer at 'normal' times then you'll be fine.

I stand corrected, but £35 per month??? Jaysus :)

It's been running all day lol

Torrents pfftt what are they, they are for commoners ;)

Virgin 50mb has NO throttling on it whatsover, no data caps either, it really is an unlimited service.

Cable Forum: Virgin Media in Broadband Network Revolution

For now

I heard it's going too get throttled :(

For the equivalent of 35GBP i get what is supposed to be 1.5 Mbps (but they dont guarantee quality of service)

I don't believe that it's not throttled/traffic shaped. And it's a shame that the upload is still pretty dross.

Upload is not my main concern lol

If its throttled it must a very high allowance then, as I'm trying my hardest too hit the limit and keeps going at 60Mbps a sec:)

Thats a lotta pr0n!

Who said that :confused::confused::confused:

I can't see properly today, and my palms have gone all hairy

I only get 896kbps :(

Virgin will throttle you for torrents.

Mate downloaded the entire season of 24, and got throttled back to 2meg from his 50meg with the provision it would be reinstated if he remained torrent free for 30 days.

Our Virgin 10mb,

we always get this speed, doesnt matter on the time of day.

If I use London I get:

If I use what the site recommends Manchester:

If I use nearest server to me:

This speed testing isnt an exact science it seems ;)

Not bad.. pretty sure its only limited by the 100mb ethernet :o

Not just a bit lacklustre, but also the inverse of what you'd want.......

I don't tend to trust Coventry - had too many funny readings from it (and it's local to me too) - find Brum gives more consistant results .But then again - my speed is something like 6mb /.47 as against my enginers visit on Virgin site of 9 mb/.47 . He said it depends on traffic -aboit says it all ,me thinks .
