Very quick update!

Featured Replies

Well Its been a while since i've done anything to the Fabia - other than the repairs done to the car to remove the deer shaped dent!

Well - i've had the TT Comps on the car since about 2 weeks after I bought the car. I'm now sick of having to keep repolishing the wheels every 4-6 weeks. So i thought about buying something different, Schmidt modernlines, or Ronal R50's were on the list, but I couldnt afford them at the moment.

So i did this instead:-

Halfords Satin Black spray paint! FTW!

Along with a new set of centre caps

They look great

don't think black wheels on a black car will ever look bad

Not too bad.

Its already down about 40-45mm! Dont worry though coilovers coming after my trip to Germany!

Seems very high at the back if it's lowered that amount ! :o

Not too keen on the vRS centres, get some black Audi ones and it'll look amazing IMO!

Its already on a 40mm Bilstein Streetline kit - I dont want to go too low. It rolls a little less than std and help the wheels fill the arches a bit better.

This is what i go LOW in:-

A quick drive around St Neots would see most of the underside of that car removed by all the speed humps.

Trust me - it can't - I have a lower strut brace which literally scuffs the deck! and the rear tyres are almost touching without anything in the back - just my 2 kids in the back and they tyres catch!

I'm liking the bonnet!

look different like it though

Very smart, just more lowering need now ;)

Need anyone killed? 'cos I'll do it for those wheels!

wheels look really nice in black! How long does a do it yourself job last?

I would think that would depend on the preparation and the ability of the driver to stay away from kerbs.;)

They do look tidy. I'm not sure about the amount of stretch on those tyres though.

they are 205/40/17 Falkens on 7.5" rim

The wheels did use to be mirror polished - I had just spent 2 hours polishing one of them, then got fed-up and decided to rought up the surface with sandpaper and they apply a couple of coats of paint - no lacquer. the finish looks ok for a quick paint. i tend to stay away from kerbs, so they should last ok, probably give them another couple of coats some time though!

new mods done to the car!

Fit a set of the Audi Style marker lights down beside the foglights - not too bright, and wired into the sidelights! Did them in a morning!

Pics on the way!

Looks like your Polo's bonnet needs some paint work?

its ok, there is still paint on the underside of the bonnet! ;)

Aren't they illegal?

I thought they had to be the only lights on the front of the car. I'm pretty sure they have to switch off when you switch on any other lights.

Anyways, which ones did you get as quite like those.

I never have anything bad to say about a black skoda lowered on black wheels.

why would they be illegal? they dont obstruct the indicators like the Audi & Mercedes ones. Their ones go off when you indicate on the left or right depending on which way you are turning! ;)
