Are those lights easy to fit?

Basically, as I understand it, to be legal for constant use in the daytime they have to be Day Running Lamps, which means they have to switch off when other lights come on.

If they don't they police are liable to do you for running with foglights on in clear visibility.

Apparently, FIAT had to send out letters for people who were being prosecuted for this when the new 500 came out and eager beaver police officers were thinking they were foglights.

they are wired into the same loom as the sidelights. Im a trained auto electrician, but i workm for halfords fitting stereo's and handfree kits. This was a 10 minute lunch time job, just made up a plug in loom that goes into the sidelight socket on the skoda loom and give me another std sidelight plug for in the headlights plus a positive and earth fly cable to connect thbe running lights to. I doubt ill have any problems as they arent wired to the fogs

So are they still on when the headlamps are on dipped beam?
