Thanks you just saved me a few quid!!

Does anybody know how much a knew one would be from skoda, including getting it cut and programming??

I've bought a couple of used 3 button keys from eBay recently. You can reprogramme the remote part fairly easily, have a search its been covered a few times on here.

The bit that can't be reprogrammed is the transponder which is in the blade half of the key. If you remove the badge you will find a screw, undo the screw and inside you will find the glass transponder. I used a small jewellers screwdriver and CAREFULLY picked it out and put it in the new key. Put the two halfs back together, got a new badge (eBay again) and now have two working three button keys.

The blades can be swapped over by removing the split pin.

The keys I bought were partnumber 1J0 959 753 AH. I think there are a few different partnumbers which will also work but don't get a key for the Octavia II or Mk5 Golf as these won't work.
