Hey guys i was going to see about getting a remap done on my Fabia VRS when i was offered a Steinbauer Tuning box. Problem is i have never heard of one of these. Been told it should up the BHP to 160.

So has anyone else had one of these fitted if so whats your opinion?

I know what I would rather have, and thats the remap which does far more than even a proper tuning box does. A tuning box does a number of things including altering the timing and injecting more fuel where needed, and thats about it. A remap also alters boost, as well as altering timing and fuel injected.

Remap. And the Steinbauer is pretty pricey too, from what I remember.

If it's genuine then why not? Steinbauer and DPT are the two better tuning boxes, definitely not just resistor mods, but I'd still get a remap if I was going to do it.

It is a good tuning box but would sooner get remap:thumbup:
