Lowering my vrs

Koni FSD's and Eibach springs... will lower 25mm

for aesthetics it doesn't lower a great deal and for the price i'd be tempted to save up for some coilovers :)

The only thing I'd say about FSDs + lowering springs is that they are top-of the range pretty much, so I couldn't justify the outlay on what is a cheap car after all. I'd read horror stories about messing up the settings on the next-down (the Koni Sport kit), which is why I decided to get STR.Ts, as discussed in this thread. Even if you only want to swap the springs and not the dampers, the pictures in the thread will give you an idea of what the car looks like on -40mm springs (which are effectively -25mm on the vRS, as it's already 15mm lower out of the factory).

Of course, if you want low-low-low, then coilovers are the only way to get the car down any more than that (not for me, though!)

The only thing I'd say about what I've got is that the front ARB bushes have been creaking over speedbumps since I've got my new suspension fitted. They've been checked out, and it's apparently just because they've done 80k at standard height, and so are now supporting the ARB at a different angle. Teflon spray and time will fix this, and they're not split or anything, I'm told - although it is irritating! :(

hi apogee, I changed my arb bushes and it made no difference.

Bum. Neither did the Mondeo droplinks, I see... :(

Any opinions on those cheap coilovers I posted links for in a previous post?? I'd considered getting some as they're only a little more than springs... ??
