went to USC at santa pod at the weekend and had a horsome time ,took my car down the strip ,could of had 4 runs but only took 3 as my car had no clutch slip or any thing but didnt wanna push my luck !!!!

went agensed a volvo v70 t5 he did a 15.8 at i think it was 90 mph and i did a 16.2 at 87 , then i went up on a golf gti 2ltr 16v (stiped out with cage)

i did a 16.1 at 89 and he did a 16.4 i think at 84 ish (he was not happy i won:))

then went up agansed a poo 1.4 corsa and blised that doing another 16.2

i didnt think that was a bad time really considering im only on a chip running 167.6 bhp and around 260 ft

any 1 else ever put there car down the strip???and what u do

The MK2 Golf should have done a better time tbh, they are alot lighter than a Fabia vRS (930kg vs 1315kg), and lighter still stripped out,not to mention they have 150hp stock - guess the driver wasnt at his best that day.

i didnt see any other vrs on the strip but did see a cupple in the club camping ,was that any 1 on here lol??

so do u think i should of been getting better times than that or was that adiquet ??

Doesn't say the golf GTI 2 litre 16v was a mark 2 - could it have been a later model which were not as good as the mk2?

Sorry mate, but I personally think thats a dead shocking slow time? I assume your 0-60ft times (please look on your slip) where nearer 3 seconds? 2.7 maybe? and a 330ft time of 7 seconds?!

I ran my Ibiza with the same engine, with very similar power (RR'd at 170.9bhp and 273lb.ft) and ran a 14.7. Most people with PD130's with abit more power, 170bhpish run low 15's

However your terminal speeds arent too bad, just a few mph down, so id say its all your launch that gave you a slow time. Post up a slip mate.

Were you the one I drove past on the M11. I was driving the standard silver VRS (I have been banned from modifications). Car looked nice.

You really want to be running mid 15's id say with a poor 'map' and you can get that all in the launch mate. Im pretty sure abit of practise (legally!) at launches and you'd shave off the half second needed.

I ran a 15.3 was my quickest that day with a huge boost leak :(

i was at USC saw the volvo T5 (estate?) run twice but i didnt see you run once!! lol

i wanted to run mine but they shut the signing on office as it was getting way to busy or somet.
