Which Bloody KO4 Turbo

Featured Replies

Mmm, rod bending torque. I need some of that.

I've checked and I can get hold of new units, yes they are KKK (I thought K04 was a specific garrett type :o ). Carl i,ve PM'd you with a price.

Graham

Can u pm me the price also? Thanks

Pm me also, i cant be left out, i want one too, if they are cheap enough

Other things to consider, the pipes going into the turbo, would they not have to be changed because of different sizes?

same size inlet and outlet i believe

Christ, the americans can get them cheap. They can get them for £788 ish.

Anyone know the engine code for the S3 by any chance?

Some info here

Volkswagen Golf MkV GTI Edition 30 : FAQ

Audi S3 (195 KW - 188KW Australia) is a BHZ code

Edition 30 (169KW) is a BYD code

Seat Leon Cupra R is a BWJ code

Its still alot of money. you can get a Cupra engine for around £2700, fitting wouldnt be that expensive.

Plus you'll be getting a lower compression engine that will hit 360BHP at stage 2+. All you current Mods such as air intake, exhaust and fuel pump are a straight swap, plus you an sell your current engine on clawing back even more cash.

I think this could be a very viable option. would love to see how much an S3 engine would be

This might help -

Slightly off topic, but does anyone know what the standard amount of boost is on the TFSI, and boost after stage 1, 2 and 2+ (in bar). Interested to know how far the K03 is being pushed and when it is best to go for a K04 or GT2871R .64. Not that I'm personally looking to go past stage 2 initially ;)

Anyone thought about asking turbo dynamics or technics about a hybrid k04 :)
