Tyre Pressure roomster

Hi,

We have a Skoda Roomster 3 1.9 Tdi with 205 45 16 tyres. We are off on hols and I was going to up the pressures.

In the fuel cap it says fronts 2.3 bar and back 3.2 bar??????

Now 3.2 bar is around 44 psi and the tyres themselves say don't exceed 40psi. I am assuming its a typo but anyone else got anyideas about the correct tyre pressures for when the car is fully loaded?

I didn't risk it, I put them up to 3 bar and it felt fine with a reasonable load and a caravan with maximum permitted nose-weight.

Tyre pressures are

Normal Front 31 psi Rear 30 psi

Fully loaded Front 33 psi Rear 46 psi

But personally I wouldnt go to 46 psi I dont hink I'd go more than 40

It seems strange though to have 46psi when on the OE birdgstone tyres is says tyre beading should not be exposed to over 40psi.

I wonder if Skoda have made a mistake?

I have just rung Skoda customer care and they are going to investigate and ring me back.

They rung me back and confirmed the tyre pressures are correct. They said the 40psi warning on the tyre is only when there is no load on it??
