Well, they are all good questions. I intend to bring down several BBQ's which can be used by anyone, and im going to bring down lots of food too. As we have abit of time to do organise, we could all bring certain things, the issue there is when the usual 'drop' out last minutes accure/or no shows. Be pretty bad if we had no red sauce due to a no show!

Activities wise, was thinking footie, frisby like you said. We used to have a guy bring his professional kite down and jump over trees (just the small ones mind!) so anything and everything.

Obv if the weather is poor, we do need to think of a 2nd area/place/idea. Indoors and close enough too.

Thats a lot of organising for you:thumbdwn:

Good points on the no shows etc. What about a nominal "donation" from everyone to put towards basic food and drink. Basic as in sausages, burgers, bread, sauce's and somthing for the veggies;). A few choices of soft drink and water.

No major contributions or anything just enough to cover some basics for lunch. Not a 3 course dinner for 5,000. Then people can bring anything they want in particular in addition to the basics. Salads, chicken, steak, drinks etc. As you can't please everyone.

I for one would be happy to contribute. As long as you get the defos to pay it doesnt matter about the no shows. Anyone who turns up short notice has to be prepared to bring extra or possibly go without:P

If there's 20 people as defos/strong maybes. A contribution of a few £'s (£3-£5) goes a lot further when you buy in bulk. Its cheaper then a burger and chips at rother valley too:thumbup:

I will vlounteer my Makro card too if its needed. Makro isnt the cheapest wholesaler any more but its the only one i'm a member of.

Anyway thats my suggestion. I'll wait for it to be poopoo'ed.

It is alot to organise. I like the idea of 'putting' to, problem there is only way to get money is when people show up, so again the no shows etc.

How negative of us :D lol or realist. TBH, I was just gunna purchase like 100x everything and then just who ever wants a burger or anything can.

We do need to sort out a PLAN B if the weather goes south however, any ideas? Got a few more to add to the list too now, so should be a good turn out :)

If you have paypal, problem solved.

But if your happy to buy everything up front then why not cover your costs buy selling them/asking for a contribution on the day?

Its all legit and anyone reading this thread knows the score so I would like to think no one will have a problem with paying for a bit of grub. Plus if everyones there for a few hours they will eed to eat anyway.

Good on ya for taking it on and being so considerate :)

It's a shame no one knows of a big vacent industrial unit with a large car park, just in case the weather is bad. Could have an indoor BBQ.

I havent got any inddor ideas for a large numbers of people (and cars) but I will do some looking around and see if theres any venues available.

I best mention that I'm veggie!! As such a social outcast, I don't mind bringing my own grub!

I've also realised that the MOT on the oldie runs out midweek & I need a day (that I don't have) to get that done, so my wheels will be modern. Although someone has kindly keyed it this week, so I've now got a wavey line go faster stripe.

Yummy, I'll bring some brown sauce then

Yeah had a few choice words on Sunday evening when I saw it,

spoke to others parked in same street, they were ok,

however, they picked that street as a safe place, as they'd had problems elsewhere!

hopefully be around i'll pop in and see how things are going ...

How deep is the scratch matey?

If its in the laquer, then you maybe able to make it less obvious by polishing.

I'm sure SWMBO has mentioned something that weekend

& you know when you can't admit that you forgotten about it.

Ooops me bad....

Spoke to my mum today she asked if I'd remembered that I'm providing her & a friend a lift next Sunday.

"Of course mum, as if I would forget!"

I think parts of it might polish out, but it looks a bit deeper in a couple of spots.

More £££ no doubt!!!

Still I'm sure that the person that did it, is a worthwhile member of society,

who will go on to achieve greatness & enrich the lives of all that they encounter with their charm & intellect!

will any one be bring vag.com down to the meet would like to try it out on the octi and see why it moans (flashes EML) at me at high speed:thumbup:

thanks in advance Tom

UPDATED MAIN PAGE WITH TIME AND MAPS.

I would also like to add, if your name isnt on the LIST of who is attending, PLEASE PLEASE add it. So we all get a good idea of who is going and in what car, rather than just saying "yeah im coming"

Many Thanks, lets hope the weather holds out :D

If I'm not away in the camper then I intend to be there in the Boxster as I'd like to meet Octimark and have a look over my old car. Also I find BBQ's really hard to resist!
