Well should be ordering my FL VRS tomorrow hopefully, will be a factory order as none of the cars in the system at the moment have everything I want.

Now I know what options I'm going for but really can't decide on a colour and this could be crucial especially on this model, got to think about the car in my ownership as well as the future.

So I have narrowed this choice down to 3.

Race Blue - Looks very good on the showroom car and is unique to the VRS, does seem to be very popular and wonder if this will prompt a flood of race blue cars in 3-4 years time.

Black - As always very popular and looks stunning when clean but hard to keep clean and look after, always shows stone chips and the like as well.

Anthracite - New colour for 2009 so is a different as only the LE had this colour before, not sure if it suits the sporty nature of the car and could look a bit dull on cloudy wet days. Not sure how popular it would be on the used market. Grey is maybe better for executive cars.

Really down to you. But as you've said about black, it shows chips and the like easily as my Octy sport is black. Personally I'd go for Race blue.

Can I be annoying and suggest Corrida Red? Not only does it look stunning, but also its free! :)

Out of your list, I'd probably go for Race Blue though.

Anthracite:cool:

It's gotta be Silver :D

Or from your list Blue

some dealers seem confused by the anthracite

I have ordered red...as my missus was choosing and she loved our red mk1

I wanted blue so have voted that :)

ive chosen blue, but given the choice myself id go white ,but they didnt offer that when i bought mine

Yellow if still available, if not black.

Yellow

Thought about it but I see so many red cars that have turned pink

Yes I can see why it's not a standard VRS colour even in the latest brochure but dealer said it was available they have to put the order on the system as white or black then ask Skoda UK to change the order later  bit strange that.

silver or white :~)

White

White or Yellow :D

Out of that list Blue although im very partial to a bit of white myself

Its not an FL sorry but I took this yesterday :)

Well blue is popular because it looks so good.

Black does look good but is always a PITA to keep looking good.

I've seen a couple of grey VRS on the road and IMPO blue or black does look better.

Thanks for all the votes/replies.

Have gone for Race Blue in the end, Black although very nice just too high maintenance and Anthracite is apparently not an option following a call to Skoda UK.

Race Blue would be my second choice, always like seeing one in the distance, I know a VRS is approaching, quick wave - thumbs up etc on way past.

I think it is shocking that in Europe Anthracite is no problem, but in the UK it is ? My opinion is that it is too close to many sporty Audi A4 / VW Passats that sport that colour. Not covering themselves in glory when you see the pre FL VRSs that are Anthracite, never mind the LEs. :thumbdwn: Skoda UK - why Europe but not here?.

Must be exactly that, see so many S3's and the like in Dolphin Grey which it just the Audi name for the same colour I think. This its also the same reason I can't get heated leather seats in the VRS as well, and Audi/VW exclusive thing.

I have read on this forum that you can get heated leather seats, the dealer has to follow the "manual" ordering route. If you do a search on here you should find the info. My opinion on the Anthracite colour is, I would say SkodaUK are making it unavailable until all the Limited Edition models are sold. Then you might find that it magically becomes available but its just an opinion.

Thanks bit late now as order is in but I guess the £800 is better in my pocket anyway. Dealer spoke to Skoda UK while I was there and was told that Anthracite and Heated Leather wasn't available but maybe depends who you speak to.

You can't get heated leather on the LE ones but the brochure does show heated leather for FL VRS

I was after a Black or a Race Blue one. In the end I got Race Blue.

I've been driving for 26 years and never had so many people comment on what a lovely colour my car is!

Currently got a black vRS and love it. I don't mind keeping it clean as it looks so good. The thing that I don't like is the minor scratches and stone chips that show up too easily on black paintwork.

So for my new car, I have ordered a FL vRS in Race Blue

Was hoping to get it on the 1st September, but the dealer has told me that it is in build this week, so it should be the second week of September.
