Hi there,

I am new to the site just saying hello and asking for advice on a fabia TDI 100bhp. I currently have a 306 dTurbo tuned to ~118bhp and wanted a more modern car, but similar performance. What do people withink to the comfort or elegance 100bhp TDi and what is its tuning potential? I have read lots of positives from Jabbasport. Are there any similar places in the north west?

A basic remap with nothing else changed would get you around 140bhp based on other people's experiences.

A few other mods like exhaust and air filter would add 10-15 on top of that which to my mind at least isn't much of an increase for the cost.

I bought a Fabia TDi for my wife a few weeks back and I'm that impressed with it I went out and bought an Octavia TDi for myself at the weekend.

Even with standard bhp and torque the Fabia is quick enough to embarass far higher class opposition on A and B roads, 177lbft in a supermini is great fun.

Welcome! The TDI 100 is a gem of a car! A trip to jabba is well where the day off work they do a class job and its well worth the long journey. Run the motor in first and then you wont regret the trip! I have about 150bhp and 250 lbs of torque!!!! Although this may change come Thursday Get used to the handling first especially the brakes, this car asks a LOT of the brakes!

Great thanks for the info, any advice on insuring a mod fabia, I tried LV and they say the no longer allow any engine modifications!

The insurance is a thorny issue at the moment.....
