Radio Problems

Featured Replies

Hi,

i have had my excellent Fabia vRS for about a month now, and totally love it!

I have had no problems except with my radio. It cuts out every so often just for a second, the dealer has been pretty good, they changed it for my yesterday (took one from the showroom) but although it does seem less (only driven this morning) it is still doing it. I have changed all the settings to turn off the TP (as best you can) and also the local station change but it is still doing it.

Anyone else had similar problems and anyone found a solution?

Thanks

Simeon.

Does it do this when playing CD's, if it does I suspect a power feed problem.

If not it may be the aerial at fault, it has a powered base and that could be where the problem lies, I would re-enable all the RDS functions because they will not cause the radio to cutout due to the tuner design.

edit to add, welcome by the way.

Is it perhaps the RDS switching to a stonger "same" station? when the tuned one is getting weak and another is found to be stonger? perhaps worth looking in manual to switch this feature can be turned off as a test.

John
