Fabia VRS vs Seat Ibiza FR 5 Door

You'll have to test drive them both to find the one you like, Basically the Ibiza FR feels tighter and more sporty and the VRS more refined, both perform the same, you'll be hard pressed to say one is faster than the other. As said before there is more VRS's for sale than FR's. . Either one will be better than a Fiesta though.

 you cant say that about my fizzbomb! lol yeah i know they would be much better but i've been in an ST fiesta and i think the build quality of the fiesta is better than the skoda/seat interior. Plus the dark interiors of the skoda/seat look very dull and boring. But you can't say no to diesel power! and all the torque! lol

The Cupra just feels completely different to an FR. Personally I think they are worth the premium out of the box.

if you're coming to it fresh then I'd agree with that (hence buying a Cupra), but would it be worth changing from either a vRS or FR to a Cupra? Maybe not tbh

I agree with you to an extent but the cupra tdi would cost too much for me. It would be nice to own one as there are a load of Fab VRS's about (would be nice to be in an exclusive club ;-)) You would find it hard to find another cupra tdi! which in a way would be nice. The cupra tdi isn't exactly common! like a 182 or an ST. I know a 182 would be faster round a track and round corners but who goes around a track all the time? And its not very wise going round corners fast! :D though thats where the funs to be had! It would be more fun over taking people with a motorway monster!

Plus the better brakes on a cupra would give more reasurance :-p and the out of the box performance would be nice.

yer am feeling you on the st and the 182 thing, there is loads of them around here all sporting burberry cap driving 7wa75. All chaved up as well :( shame really. The clio 182 of what ive been told is a very very fast car with a well nice chassis.

Is it just a derv hot hatch your thinking of?

because if it is, you could consider the toyota auris sr. there quiet well priced second hand, look very suital and what ive read go like stink! My dads friend has just the normal 2.2 DV4D and i know people around here will kick off but my dad was adament it felt alot quicker than his old vrs so god knows what the sr version is like, its the intresting choice granted but when if you can afford it to consider :D

It has been discussed on here and Seat Cupra.net many times.

Here is the latest thread on SCN. vRS vs FR - SEAT Cupra.net There are a lot of peope on there in favour of the vRS.

Though it weighs more it

does come with more things standard than the ibizas.

Err, wrong? vRS doesnt have climate control, but you do get a luke cold space for a can of pop on the vRS!

How does that work out cheaper??? Might be an age thing. Seat Cupra TDI is insurance group 16 (please correct if i'm wrong) how can a 1.8 focus be anywhere near that, even with mods.

IIRC its actually group 15, but at that stage, its still alot more than group 7/8 for the Sport/FR and the 9 for the vRS

Buy a honda

Not to go off topic, but the vtec is one historys greatest engines. For me the best! Its power delivery is crazy and most things that get a pasting usually breakdown not vtecs. What ive heard the diesel vtec is a fantastic engine! ;)

it coined the phrase "v tec just kicked in yo" i must just be too old to drive one:D

Erm I was simply giving an opinion Aarron!!!!!!

Am I not allowed?

Anyway if you have a problem with my post please ask a mod to remove..

Well if we are allowed to think outside the box, then in this thread of Fabia vRS vs Seat Ibiza FR 5dr

I go for VEYRON. I know what your all thinking and you know what I think you might be right, be id look past all that and think of the good things it has to offer...

.

Infact no, its simply not a 5dr so that wouldnt work... shame.

*********

There is a name for people like you and it makes hens fertile.

Now your off topic.

Anyway its obvious that all the people that have Fabias will advise on it and vice versa for the Ibiza.

Personally there are better cars out there for the money. My comment was look at things outside the box. For the money the EP3 is a quick standard car with great handling, or for a diesel the astra 150

Talking about other cars, isnt going massively off topic, at the end of the day people are trying to be helpful. So people should RELAX! as long as it doesnt go hugely off topic like if i started talking about what tastes better with my tea, semi skimmed or full fat milk. I think we can let talking about cars in a car forum slide....dont ya think!

I personally will only ever drink full fat, get more for ya money right :D

Haha T, talking about cars, my meth arrived. 50/50 mix and it deffo smokes more when mixed but need to get on the rr to see a difference

I personally will only ever drink full fat, get more for ya money right :D

LOL at this @LBR guy! He has a point with the honda mind, as it wasnt on the list of what he wanted, but man he has issues....

Anyway, going more off topic than milk (or infact not!)

50/50 mix? haha! hard core... does it 'feel' faster tho? more smoke than just water? or more smoke than even before just water?

Im gunna probs go 25% to help cooling and smoking!

This one goes out just for you AARON.

The car feels more responsive and smoother, but need a read out.

Was playing around with the controller bringing in the progressive a little earlier on boost.

I wont be running 50/50 mix mind. More like 25% meth

Will put it on the rollers when I overcome the expense of the pointless methanol. Will personally invite you Aaron if you would like to come along?

Haha give it a rest please. I'll pick at your posts if you like, saying there totally pointless

Quotes (if you want to check up, its in black and white):
