Hy @ all,

I've got an different problem.

On the German forum,

I saw that Enriquez said to use the new  xxx AN BCM for the Combi.

So I got that BCM with a right english taillight and a left european taillight.

(to have the fog lights on both sides)

So I made a connection from the left to the right foglight inside of the BCM (A06 to C47)

I also coded "Byte 18" to "05",

learned the keys and took the old values to the new BCM.

The lights are working, but I've an other problem.

The electrical trunk door and the fuel tank cap don't close with the central locking!

Normally you hear a motor that closes the trunk when its at the end,

bu tthat doesn't work.

I checked the wires, the coding and the fuses twice already,

even the garage (where I bought the car) can't help me for coding because

they have an OnlineCoding Computer and the BCM doesn't match the chassis number (some thing like that...)

Can anyone help me here?

You'll better wait for Enriquez but if I remember well he had similar problems and had to contact Skoda dealer to rectify this problem...

in that case You need to go to the dealer or use newer version of VAS tool.

They need to follow the guided functions - replace the BCM module, using old coding.

After successful coding, there will be some questions of what car is equipped, and one of them is the power trunk.

After that everything works OK. Remember I mean VAS5054a tool NOT VCDS.

Ok, what about the fuel cap?

Does it also work when being asked?

My dealer could't acces the BCM with his "Online computer thing"

yes, the tank cover as well.

In the cars without power trunk flap, the tank flap is connected in the place of thrunk flap motor hook. That is why is not working. In the mean time You can close the trunk flap using remote key fob - just click several times on closing button. You can see, that it is moving. This temporarily avoiding rattling until You visit the dealer.

Hy,

I'm just back from the dealer.

My trunk and the autom. rollo is working again!

Only the tank flap doesn't close.

They had a VAS 5052a ,

they did the manual coding,

after that, there were some questions where they activated the trunk and rollo etc. ,

but there was no question about the tank flap.

Any other solution to this?

Or is it because there was no VAS 5054a?

Do you have to mention at the login of the VAS

that you have the Facelift 2013 version of the Superb?

Because when logging in,

the mechanic told that it an 2011 modell, but the BCM is 2013.

Does that change anything in there?

Would be nice to solve that last issue.

Thanx

Hy,

I tried it but still no luck.

Bit 5 is unchecked,

I checked it to 1, saved and tested --> nothing

I recoded it to 0, still nothing.

On the screen before,

ther is the option to check the closing mechanism manually,

there it also doen't work.

(I have the German version of VCDS and don't know the name in english)

With the old BCM it worked,

so it also cannot be a fuse or something...

Does the motor for the "hook" on bottom works?

If yes that's something I do not understand.

Usually, when using VAS 5054a (usually at the dealer, or if You have Skoda 19.56 database available),

the procedure is to follow the CECM replacement instructions on the screen and use OLD coding to the new one.

After that VAS displaying the question about power trunk lid. You must answer - Yes.

Then the hook and tank flap should work.

I know 3 dealers in Poland, they managed this (6 cars already done) and if You are not so far away from Stetin, Poznan - just go and ask them to do it.

Or simply ask Your dealer to fix it - they know how to find out the knowledge source.

My dealer had an 5052 to programm.

My trunkmotor and rollo are working fine.

I was near him to see what he was doing,

and he answerder YES on the Power trunk and on the rollo.

The trunk motor is working, but the tank flap doesn't work….

When I  put in the old BCM, the tank flap is closing,

so it must be the BCM...

Today I had an important finding with KESSY. When You code in the remotes it is very important to know which key is No. 1 and which one is No. 2. Then during learning procedure, first You have to learn No.1 then No.2. Otherwise the KESSY (I mean the handles on the doors) will not work. If that happens, just repeat the procedure and shift the keys.

I've resolved the issue with tank flap - to be working it's needed to use vas tool and recode the cecm with no change in coding, BUT the need is to tell vas, that the car is a superb 2014 model. After that tank flap starts working properly.

Sorry not read previous pages.

So is the new Superb has rear LED cluster lights?

Just saw a white Superb (private plate [1945 AS]) with LED lights.

In the shape of MK2 Superb rear clusters - but and outside L-Shape like of LEDS

With one side of the L-shape with double lines of LEDS.

Quite sure that was a mk2!

Yes the MkII pre-facelift Superb gets LED rear clusters, but only the L&K twindoor.

This thread is all about sourcing, retrofitting and coding them to the other non-L&K models.

All models of the latest facelift get them now.

Retrofitted them to my MY2010 yesterday.

The lights take 5 minutes, the BCM change is a bit of a faff (bloody knee airbag...) but a bit of swearing and some bloody knuckles helped.

Then the wire connections (C47 - A6)

Then copy the coding, changing byte 18 manually to HEX 05. Lights now work correctely without errors.

Had to re-learn the keyfobs using VCDS in module 09

Then VAS to preform the "swap CECM"-function, make sure it's listed as MY2014 Superb, and answer YES to elektric trunk, auto luggage cover, kessy, etc (if fitted)

Enjoy a nice brew

And now when I walk outside after dark and unlock the car, LH comes on and it looks very VERY nice, LED rear lights and LED license plate lights.
