What Gadgets Do You Have In Your Car?

Featured Replies

I will be getting my Octy 2.0TDi just before Chrimbo with any luck and I am wondering which Gadgets I transfer from my old car to my new. Over the years I have aquired quite a few, all now hard wired in so I have the chance to lose some as they are a bit OTT IMHO.

Anyway currently I have:

Alpine 9812 MP3 Player

Nokia 610 BluetoothCar Kit

Road Angel II

TomTom Go

Digital Compass & Thermometer

Traffic Master Bleeper Jobbie

Phone Holder

Cigarette Lighter Phone Charger

Plan on keeping:

Nokia 610 Bluetooth Car Kit

Phone Holder

Cigarette Lighter Phone Charger

Road Angel II

TomTom Go

Am I a gadget freek, or do you have loads of stuff in your motors?

replace the Alpine with a Pioneer X1 and you can loose the TOM TOM GO also,

less clutter improved stereo also as you know you'll be changing the HU anyway.

buy the way road angel II,how do you find it???

Your dropping the traffic master why?

It's a very old one with just LEDS that sticks to your windscreen and takes three AAA batteries which it eats and only prompts you to phone the 50p/minute line, found it to not be very accurate.

It came free when Car Kit installed in my original Company Car many years ago.

Could do with a Tomtom Go unit that supports speed cameras, links to Traffic Master type system via GPRS on the Mobi then I only need 1 unit.

Tomtom Go DOES support the speed camera database: you need to download the latest software from the Tomtom website. It also has its own warning system for POIs, that allows you to choose from a range of warning sounds. It actually works really well: it's arguably better than Tomtom 3 on a PDA, with checkPOInt.

I'm not sure if Go allows a link to the traffic information, but tomtom 3 certainly does now, if you've got a Bluetooth phone.
