Rear screen delamination??

Featured Replies

Hi,

Has or is anyone suffereing from their rear screen delaminating from the tailgate? There is an adhesive read through mark all the way around the glass.(looks like a snail trail). My local Skoda Dealer said its out of warranty and wouldnt cover it but did say ring Skoda direct, which i plan to do after i get some background information.

I believe it is a warranty issue as glass isnt a wear and tear item and it is the original screen fitted at the factory. Clearly the glass or tailgate hasnt been prepd and primered to process causing the screen to delaminate and witness.

Has anyone been able get Skoda to replace the glass?

The car is on 50k 2005

any pics of what you mean ?

Do you mean the edges going grey?. All the fabias I looked at when I was buying inc mine had it.

Thanks for the information.

Yep ours is the same causing a leak into the boot but it is 9 years old! - I've got a gun of windscreen mastic/adhesive to stick/seal it back in after it's s;eaned when I get the chance.
