Been back to garage to have car looked at again ( see my other post ).

At first the said it was the coil packs so i changed them all and spark plugs but still the same problem with running lumpy.

So when i took it back to be looked at the did a compression test and theres a problem with cylinder and a valve needs replacing.

They said it would cost me around £500 for the car to be repaired does this sound about right.

Its a 2003 plate octavia vrs with 111 k on the clock.

They said they would replace cambelt etc at the same time which was done 2 years ago.

Would appreciate any feedback

Sounds about right if cambelt included. They will need to fit a new valve and regrind the valve seat, fit a new head gasket, and all new head bolts, as they are one use only.
