Son just purchased Fabia Mk1 1.4 (8V) petrol to learn to drive.

Car was serviced by local dealer, but car has been standing for about 3 months.

Starts fine, but seems to lack acceleration. When pulling away seems to misfire / stutter. Misfire also happening at tickover, but random not consistant, (wish it was).

Seems to drink fuel at an alarming rate!

Can any body offer any help?

Have it scanned for fault codes. Most likely temp sensor

possible coil pack failure?
