Problems wiv Air Con

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2003 fabia 1.9 tdi PD, my air con is weird, when you have it on and it is set the coldest it is freezing, but if you move the temperature switch to say 18, it blows out hot air like i have cranked it right round to hot, but then once I have done this it stays hot regardless of where the temp control is???? any ideas?? I have already had the sensor changed??

Sounds like aircon control module, code scan will say what's what.

Wiv ????

What does that mean ???

Your flap motors not resetting, probably not the sensor? (Best I could do)

Close enough.

If you are really lucky you could try to "exercise" it a lot COLD>HOT>COLD>HOT - that seems to have worked for my Passat B5 - but only after I had bought a new flap motor!!!! I've guessed that the feedback potentiometer track was dirty and working it hard might just have cleaned it up a bit.

Hi mine has done this on occasions cant be on with big bills etc, ive found if u pull over turn ignition off it seems to reset itself.

Thats is what i have to do, pull over switch off and back on again then it works, but I have a warranty with the car and they are going to fix it.
