Skoda Main Dealer Revo Cheap and Warranty intact??

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Saw item 380101015300 on Ebay earlier. (unable to post link)

Revo Remap for VRS at a Skoda Main Dealer in Mansfield for only £349.

Say's doesn't affect warranty.

Seems good value but unsure as I have a Skoda approved warranty, rang them up and chap there said it was "untraceable"??

Seems cheap for a Revo.

What do others think about it?

Cheers

This dealer (Rainsworth) did my Octavia II. Did it for an excellent price and no problems at all so far - its an excellent remap. They are both Skoda and REVO agents and say Skoda warranty will be honoured - and in any case the REVO remap cannot be detected by dealer tools (this is not 100% true - it is detectable, but only with a lot of effort).

it is very easy to see if it has a map takes 5 mins it is simply just log the boost on vag com....no map is undetectable simple as that..

i would ring skoda uk and ask if it will affect warranty:thumbup:

That is standard price for REVO map anywhere it is fitted. That will be the stage 1 remap. It is £399 for stage 2.

Also if you get stage 1 first you then only pay £50 for upgrading to stage 2 later on.

And yes it is traceable

Hi,

The price is usually + VAT which takes it normally over the £400 mark. I was more interested in the fact that with it being done by a Skoda Main Dealer and they are stating that warranty won't be affected then surely if anything does go wrong then you should have a valid claim against the dealer if not the warranty company?

I also have a 10% discount voucher on ebay which will bring the price down to only £315 all in.

Yep sorry was not including the VAT. If your earlier post was including VAT then a good price, and with your 10% I am jealous.

I would tend to agree with you regarding the claim should be with the place that installed it, being Skoda Dealer in this case.

Ask the Skoda main dealer to put their warranty for the Revo map in writing before you have it done, and also ask Skoda UK if they will also honour any damage caused by the remap in the event of the dealer going out of business.

Also, as others have stated every map is traceable, all they have to do is check the ecu, and I think it is called checksum?. This will show it up.
