Snow Monster colours

Featured Replies

Been considering which would be the best colour for a Snow-monster, which obviously everyone will have their own take on.

So been trawling the internet trying to find photos of the 11 colours available in the UK.

(Anthracite Grey withdrawn this month, why? Rosso Brunello metallic not in the UK brochure)

Noticed also that the Superb forum collected a photo gallery of the different colours available, so I decided to do the same but only using UK cars so if you can help please do.

Solid colours

Candy White

Corrida Red

Pacific Blue

Metallic

Brilliant Silver

Cappuccino Beige

Muscovado

Storm Blue

Amazonian Green

Aqua Blue

Steel Gray

Pearl

Black Magic

Hi aerofurb,

thanks for link, been trawling about on this site previously and yes most colours are there.

Goes without saying that white is the only colour for a Snowmonster, problem being not to my good lady's taste sadly.

Quite keen on the Corrida but put off by the potential fade issue, one or two of the metallics look good; might be the odd one out on this one but I think the Cappucino suites the design particularly with the SE 'Dolomite' wheels.

Problem with metallics though extra £ which could be spent on toys.

So that leaves Pacific Blue which could be as rare as hens teeth, suppose I could do a highlander and be 'the only one'.

Not even found a photo; wish manufactures would use real photos as well as colour charts.

My problem was that I liked it in almost all the colours available (even Matto, now Muscavado!). And every time I looked, I preferred a different one.

Had to settle on a colour eventually, and white is different to the norm - and looks great! :)

i agree 100%, white is fantastic for this car.

After all, have pity for this snowman, let him WHITE! :)

(Am I conservative?)

I've just driven an aqua blue one which just looked like common silver to me. I might go for storm blue. The amazonian green is tempting but I can't decide if the colour is too old fashioned and they didn't have a sample in the showroom...

IMHO seems to me that the 'best' colours are those that make the styling bits of Yeti i.e. bumpers, roof bars etc. stand out; therefore you need a light or distinctive colour; black, anthracite are no good; white, red, muscadavo etc. are best.

Funnily enough, I thought the opposite. Did not like red or white. Dark colours OK but ordered brilliant silver metallic because I felt it complemented trim and badge best.

QED - you chose Silver as the lightness of the colour contrasted against the dark grey/black of the bumpers etc. etc.:)

Pant Waen Garage have a Muscovado one as a demo car with leather interior, tbh.. I dont like the colour, I'll going back on Thursday to pick up my new car so could take a piccy then, if I find time.....of course!!!

Not at all. I thought it did not contrast too much with the chrome grille, which I do not really like! Also seemed to match the badge well. I normally like red cars, but it just does not go with the green Skoda badge imo!

P.S. Silver is pretty good for visibility and is popular too.

Is this the storm blue? It's really nice :)

Having been trying to decide which colour to order a Yeti in, last week I e-mailed Skoda CZ to see if they had any actual photo's of a pacific blue Yeti.

Received their reply today; no sorry all they could offer was the already published colour chart.

Makes me wonder if they have actually built one in this colour.

For those who are into silver some good photo's on the following link, not normally a fan of this colour but I think the Snow-monster wears it well.

Also the Onyx/Silver cloth interior used on the SE model.

Plus there's a close up of the 'Annapurna' 17" alloys, £80 option on the Elegance. I think they are possible worth the upgrade.

Was in Berlin for the weekend and VW Group dealer opposite the hotel had five (count 'em) Yetis on display in various colours.

Still liked the silver metallic though......

Also saw another silver one at Autostadt Wolfsburg, but that is another story.

We've got Silver, Anthracite and Aqua at work, I'll get some pics if I remember to!

Anthracite will be very rare on a UK car, stopped producing that colour already.

  • 4 weeks later...

Gave my Dad a lift today to pick up his ex demo Superb Elegance TDI CR 170 DSG and while I was there saw a a pair of Yeti's one in Black Magic and the other Brilliant Silver.

So that's 4 colours I have actually seen on a Yeti and personally would rate them as follows:

1. Muscovado

2. Brilliant Silver

3. Aqua Blue

4. Black Magic

I saw in Berlin also (Unter den Linden VW) 3 Yetis (Aqua, Brunello, Silver). The Aqua is pure grey to me!.. Silver is fine. Brunello is too dark, darker than Brunello di Montalcino original color -).

I'm ordering a 1.2 TSI DSG Elegance as a company car. To save money i was considering the S spec - but then realised for an extra £45 a month you can get an Elegance.

I have to have automatic and would normally have TDI 2.0 - but no DSG!!!. My daily commute into Manchester is so much easier with an auto. I can't cope with manual anymore.

Thing is colour. I was going to order Pacific Blue and realised i haven't seen one. Is it like a dark blue?

The colour i want isn't available in the UK. Rosso Brunello.

Welcome to the forum.

Considered this colour myself as I preferred to spend my money on options not paint. Decided against it as it appears dark non metallic blue on larger vehicles is unpopular with some in the motor trade; this might have effected any future trade-in value.

E-mailed Skoda in the CZ as I could not find a proper photo of a Yeti in this colour but they could not help either.

Anyway try this link from the Superb forum (Superb in Pacific Blue):

I like that Mucovado Yeti , it reminds me of the colour of my 1975 Campaign Edition 1303 Bug!
