hello ... have you seen this thread where Q discusses fuel and remapping ?

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/showthread.php?t=10899&page=2&pp=15

I run my REVO on Optimax and i think it makes a big difference. When I get it Jabba'd i will also use Optimax to make sure I get the best out of it :fingerscrossed:

Jabba can remap your car to run exclusively on 95RON if you wish - that is what the 150bhp 1.8T uses. However the 'gold-plated' solution is to run your car exclusively on Optimax for a few tanks before getting it Jabba'd so that is what is in the tank when you go there. Opt for the variable boost controller and Jabba can then remap your car to cope with anywhere between 95 and 98RON fuel. The choice is then yours as to what you fill up with from day to day

As Denis says, go for the boost controller if you go to Jabba and they can map it exclusively for 95, 97 or 98 RON (Optimax), or alternatively, they can map it for a range of fuels. Low setting being 95, Mid position for 97 and full cream being 98.

This is exactly how they set mine up when i went back recently, and it works like a dream. It's been run exclusively on Optimax for the last few months, as i only fill up once a week on average, so another couple of pounds per tank isn't a big deal.

A cross country blast across the N. Yorks moors yesterday, to plan a route for an upcoming meet gave me the chance to test the difference between "standard" and remapped.

Standard feels like a tractor :D

Next time i head across to the continent, i plan to sample some of that lovely Shell V-Power stuff in Germany :)

Right well that sounds like my solution then, i take it that the boost controller is in the car so it can be changed from the drivers seat? How much is it for a remap with boost controller? Thanks for the info.

Oh and what sort of power does a 95 ron map give? I take it the 98 setup is around 230 bhp

The remap is

Ok well that sounds in my price range :) is the boost controller in the car or under the bonnet? Cheers.

Have a look at Jabba's site below for all you need to know.

Right thats settled then, remap and boost controller in the new year when there is a group buy on :D

Remember you can also remove the rotary nob (no s******ing now;) that controls the boost andset to minimum......slightly more than standard but to your service manager you may "have a good un". ;)

When your ready PM me and I'll see about arranging another GB.

I have the jabba remap and use 95ron 99% of the time, the remap was done with the 95 ron fuel. Just let Mike know what type of fuel is in the tank at remap time.

Well i think i will be using SUL most of the time and 95 RON the rest, i doubt i will really go out of my way to get Optimax, but i am sure that i will be happy with a remap if i get anything near to 220+ :) I am impressed with the car at 180 ish so with some things ironed out it should be great.
