I'll kill them next time...

Featured Replies

Well, bad news folks, left the Felicia outside my house last night and woke up this morning to find the windscreen smashed and the rear window completely smashed in, the wing mirror bent back and the windscreen wiper snapped off... Nothing was taken from inside the car but it's completely totalled, the police think it was a random attack but no other cars have been damaged... I'm only third party so i'd have to pay for the new glass and it'd be uneconomic to repair as the car only cost me £250. It's off to the scrappy for poor felicity! Oh, and any advice on what to do next would be of much help!

Many Thanks!

Sorry to hear that Duggie.

The Police are useless, did they even bother to attend.?

If it is just the parts you mentioned, can you not find spares to fit from the scrappy?? Seem a shame to scrap it; I remember reading a thread on fitting the windscreen in here only a few weeks ago.

Ill help you too lol.

I hate COWARDS that take it out on ppls property and not knock on the door and hit you instead.

Only coz they know that the car wont hit back. F****N WIMPS!

all the best mate

i hate gutless scum like this, hopefully one day somebody will catch them doing it & give them a proper seeing too!!! shame your so far away or id of offered my help,if the windows are not bonded in they are a piece of pi*s to replace & wont cost much from a scrappy,as others have said it seems a shame to scrap a good car because of these scum, hopefully you get sorted out soon:thumbup:

Gutted for you... They'll probably have thought "It's only a Skoda". Even if the po-po's didn't come this time, it's still worth at least reporting it, as cars outside the houses near where I was a student were getting damaged in the same way, and after however many attacks, the police parked a TAU van on the next street and caught the lot. Of course, they were all about 10, so weren't prosecuted, however no more cars got damaged the rest of the time I lived there...

I'd fix the car up with bits from scrappies, and park it back exactly where you did before. Stupid people are creatures of habit, so they would probably come back on the same night to do it again.

But this time you will be waiting in the bushes with a shotgun and some mates with big sticks.

This worked for my mate who kept having his barn broken into. Strangely the thieves never returned after we 'confronted' them! But then again my mate does have a pig farm.....

Vigilantes FTW!

Steady...

Wing Mirror and wiper are easy to change and cheap from a scrapper.

Many scrap places will actually fit you a second hand windscreen too, so it's worth doing that as they cost very little.

IMO these scum (not first choice of term, but no point getting censored) should be strung up, not by the neck, but by more, ah, sensitive parts of their anatomy!

I agree, the parts will be a lot less then you think, and save the hassle of buying another car and the extra money you would need to purchase another.

I had to sell my rifle several years ago....

After finding myself taking pot-shots at some drunken teens who had tried to break into my car.

I was aiming SLIGHTLY over their heads

A friend had no such compunction, he hit at least 1 with his M16; although they never reported it or sought treatment, so I presume it was only a crease.

Plenty of blood on the patio though.

I feel for you - my sister has just had her car broken into. The Cd player I bought her for her 18th birthday stolen, and the drivers door completely wrecked. What is it with these people? Why can't they find something constructive to do instead of wrecking other peoples property.

As others have said I would fix it up, it shouldn't be too hard. I have replaced the mirrors and wipers on a few cars now and they aren't too difficult. There is a guide here on fixing the windscreen.

Once you have killed them, I know a bloke with a digger and a quarry. Things can go missing for a couple of shandys

Or if anyone knows the location of a pig farm with a friendly farmer...

Shotgun shells filled with coarse salt will save you from accusations of (attempted) manslaughter... :D

And a trip to the scrappie is good advice. Careful vacuuming of the interior is needed, though.

may well do, but you'd still be in deep doo doo from using a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence...

best bet would be to repair it, park it up again, and wait for them...

then make a citizens arrest, and when they try to resist being arrested, use "reasonable" force to detain them! Your local police would look upon you as a hero - seriously!! (and you'd feel sooooooooooooooooooo much better too)

If the screen isn't bonded, that's easy as well.

I always had an easy way to get rid of the bodies, I worked at an incinerator that had a mortuary chute ;-)

If you even simply raise your hand at them you'll probably be thrown in jail for scaring them :thumbdwn: Don't hold out any hope if the police actually catch them either. Wing mirror kicked back and body panels kicked in in middle of night (I slept through), neighbour called police and caught them, I found my car damaged with footprints on, called police who told me they had already arrested someone, later called me to say he admitted causing the damage and was given a caution.

I'm not sure if the car alarm I installed antagonised them to do further damage, or it helped prevent further damage.

But please don't kill them, that's an easy way out for them. Let them live their lives with some extra pain, or find out where they live and do over any cars that happen to be parked outside their house then maybe they will learn what it's like. I've thought of doing this to the car parked outside the person's house who did my car over but haven't done so yet  guess brake fluid is the lazy option

Rebuild the car as described above and once you have caught the little feckers, stuff them in the trunk of the Skoda and take it down to the Scrappies to be crushed. If you know a friendly car salesperson, trade it in for £2K, get a new Skoda and then get the feckers crushed in the boot of your old car.

I prefer a Mater style softly softly approach!!:thumbup:

But my way can make you money at the same time as disposing of the evidence. ;)

The scrappage allowance is a con; look it up; you end up paying MORE than if you had traded in nothing.

They use a higher APR for the scrappage allowance schemes than they do for their normal purchase schemes; even people like Parkers Guide are warning people about it.

I wasn’t really advocating murdering people and then using a Dealership as a body laundering service……...honest.

I do understand the scrapage allowance thanks, but changing APRs only affect those using finance and Don’t get me started on APRs……bloody usless things.

Then how about Hyundai and other companies raising the price of their cheaper cars by £2000 almost as soon as the scheme was announced (i10 was £5500 in March, now £5500 AFTER scrappage allowance).
