  • Pfft. Winter tyre threads are so last year. We're all cross climate tyre threads now :-) Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk

  • Bump!   Too soon

  • Cars all prepped again before some freezing weather hits.  Tyres checked for pressures, screen wash, anti freeze and oil, brake fluid and autobox level  Clean dry rubber mats in. No carpet ones.  Wind

Ermm yup

Just out of curiosity. Does anybody actually carry a boot full of clothes, jump leads, etc etc.

I know its probably sensible to, but, do you do it?

I've got a winter kit in the garage in a box that I bungee tie in the boot when needed. Jump leads, snow shovel, tow rope, de-icer, scraper, torch etc. I used to keep a pair of hi-viz vests in there but they are now in the Polo underseat storage draws.

Is it time to fit the winters on yet :wonder:

Ooh by the time it's ready I can swap the winter wheels from 12 :)

Making a box up is a good idea! I like that!

Hmm maybe abit early for the winters yet?

You're a very lucky guy! Haha.

Don't I know it :) I might have to try the box idea and also get my winter tyres on in November :)

I got a telescopic snow shovel made in Canada from B&Q for a tenner I think it was. I'll have a quick look and post the link.

Here you go, lifetime warranty too http://www.diy.com/nav/garden/garden-tools-equipment/garden-hand-tools/spades___shovels/Garant-Collapsible-Emergency-Car-Shovel-10767701

Almost forgot, I keep my Weissenfells 'snow socks' in the box too :)

I got a foldable snow shovel for christmas last year :).

Never used it though. I havent got any winter wheels yet so i just dont go out when it snows now.

We get it pretty bad around here n its more hassle than its worth. People approaching junctions at the speed of light and expecting to stop etc.

Used to blag driving mums polo with winters on, but thatll be gone this time round.

The mini is off the cards now Jack because my brothers got his girlfriend pregnant (it was planned, apparently) and the mini is too small to even get a pram in.

So theyre thinking of getting a new polo instead! Probably an SE with a 1.2tsi 90hp i should think.

Dad wanted to wait for the new fabia, but mum likes the polo, and its primarily hers, so.

Want an AWY engine and piping etc for the polo? ;)

Ahaha. Dont think anybody could be arsed! She wants a new one anyway haha.

Shame they dont do the HTP in the new polos. They only do the 1.0 engine out the citigo or the 1.2 tsi.

And let's be honest. Nobody wants a 1.0 60hp engine in a polo. Even less torque than a HTP!

Do a project conversion thread :)

Do a project conversion thread :)

Havent got the time really.

Also. The htp isnt really powerful enough to warrant a conversion is it.
