Flat Spots

Featured Replies

Afternoon all Skoda Net users!

I recently had a sensor fault a few weeks ago even though the car was running really well at the time.

The fault light has gone out on its own, which i seems to do whatever fault comes up......

I am now noticing a slight flat spot between 2000 - 2400 rpm, which is mostly noticable in 5th gear.

But if i floor it its hardly noticeable, only really notice it under medium throttle pressure???

has anyone had this fault before as its really bugging me as car is running spot on apart from that!

Its been re-mapped and has a divertor valve fitted.

Thanks

Si

Possibly EGR fault.

Afternoon,

Sorry what is an EGR fault, is it a sensor problem?

Thanks

Exhaust Gar Recirculation Valve, they get clogged with oil and soot. They are also controlled by vacuum, so all hoses and vacuum control unit need to be checked. They dont always throw up a fault code either when they start playing up.
