New member on here but not to Skoda..soon to be on third Skoda. Just got wind and its true that that Skoda UK have pulled the plug on Autohaus Skoda in Northampton.

It looks like all their customers will move to Progress Skoda in Bedford...Thanks alot Skoda this is the second time I have just about to take delivery of my new car and then they close the dealership. Can anyone give me some advise on where I stand with giving Skoda a ticking off and if it was not for the cars I would have left them... Come on Skoda your cars keep you going, now look after your loyal customers.

Generally speaking, SUK won't "pull" a dealer unless they're terrible. More likely the dealer has shut shop of its own accord.

Thanks all, just been to see new dealer who has taken over my order...Progress Skoda in Bedford. Very nice down there and they said that they will honer all agreed deals done by Autohaus.

As for the new car it is the new Octavia 1.6 TDI CR Elegance hatch...Its very quiet and has the same power out put as my 57 plate 1.9 PD so should be as much fun with cheaper tax and more miles to play with....Anyone had a go in one of these yet?

Autohaus Skoda and Mazda are being spun off into a new firm AFAIK, as Autohaus wish to stick to VW alone.

Not sure who you heard this from, but dad knows the manager of Mazda very well - about 15 years!

This explains why they didn't bother to phone me back for a test drive this week and lost an order to Progress (Bedford) as a result.

As a employee of Autohaus i can genuinely tell you that we have not been spun off into any new firm and we are not just concentrating on VW. The VW franchise was sold around 5 months ago.

We are all out of a job at present so would appreciate if people didn't tell stories in which they knew nothing about!!!!!

What about Autohaus Mazda?

Sorry to hear that. I have always received excellent service from Autohaus. Hopefully someone will take up the Skoda franchise and employ some if not all of you.

Just tried to book my car in for its service at Autohaus Northampton, (my local dealer just 5 mins from my house), only to find its now gone! Gutted as the service was excellent and I have just ordered a new Skoda, (although through Drive the Deal), partly because I was so happy with the aftersales recieved. Now off to Progress Skoda in Bedford as thats now my nearest dealer for servicing. Does anyone have any feed back on Progress, is there customer service any good?

I live in Milton Keynes and now have to take my car to Progress in Bedford. Only 17 miles but 1 hour driving due to the roadworks on A421:mad:

Service has been very good so far (warranty replacement of DSG gearbox temp sensor).

My local Skoda dealer (Pillings) lost the franchise. I have had a moan to Skoda about it, they say they are looking to have a dealer in MK soon ( bearing in mind they are based in MK )

Progress are in the business to make money....We have had too many run ins with them to care! The boss is a very nice, well spoken and helpful person...As for the the rest of them...Well don't ask mate, they are rude, unhelpful and as I told them how my new car works...lacking in the " I know my Skoda's " department......Good luck we have gone to Wings of Peterborough...Very nice and know their cars too...always helps..Lol
