Anything this cheap, and easy to fit, that produces more power [phew!!] is well worth it (I had a pipercross panel in my old SRi and you notice the difference instantly). Only issue I have is I had a little scare with the MAF sensor this weekend (63K Octy vRS, 30K Jabba-chipped), got a P1296 code (Air Flow Metering), AA cleared it down and I cleaned the MAF with some special alcohol stuff.

Will the slightly oiled nature of the panel affect the MAF sensor at all???

Rich

Any ideas how long it will take to arrive, as today I phoned greenfilters and they siad there was a 3 week wait.

Must have been the last one :( , no more in stock at the moment, but getting more stock soon.

Does anyone know how this compares to a K&N panel filter, in terms of performance?

I've never had any problems with K&N, and they seem to last for years. I've only really played with filters on an MG, and K&N were noticeably better than ITG and Pipercross 'foam' filters (except for the Pipercross 'socks', but then I think the improvement was really down to the 2" stack pipes fitted at the same time).

found this in an old thread K&N v GREEN

Rolling roaded very similar Scoobies, the only difference being K&N/Green filters. Car with Green came out 1bhp more, so probably an insignificant difference between the two filters. :D I think the biggest reason to opt for the Green is that it is more lightly oiled than the K&N which means it is less likely to destroy the MAF......

Dave told me he'd sold about 20 of them this morning!

Cheers, chaps. It sounds like the Green one is worth a try, then.

I ordered one also for my 1.8T, again due in 10 days but well worth it at that price.

i best ring the man then, can we pre-order?save missing out

Yes,

Yes,

Had a email from Dave this morning, small delivery at Tweeks this morning, mine's in the post tonight :D:D:D:D

Would an aftermarket Filter like a Green Filter invalidate your warranty??

JD

only if it were to affect your maf sensor, but should affect anything else on the warranty. I don't think the green filter has caused anyone any problems.

Who's to know, as long as you put the original back before you take it back to the dealers, personally I wouldn't do that myself as that is a little dishonest ;)
