Air Con Cleaner from Aldi

Featured Replies

I popped into Aldi this weekend and got one of their Air conditioning cleaner and purifiers and also an LED worklight.

Having looked at the AC cleaner it suggests whacking the AC on full, putting the tin of stuff in the rear footwell and discharging it... but nothing about having recirc on etc.

I'm pretty certain that last time I used on of these it was with the AC on full recirc and the tin went in the passenger footwell, near the recirc intake. Otherwise I can’t see it doing anything.

Am I right?

Ta.

I'd say so Mark, otherwise the cleaning gas will just escape :)

That's the instructions I've always seen on the cans I've used. How much was it in Aldi anyway?

Cheers Steve - I thought so but I've got that much else on my mind at the moment I just wanted confirmation.

Just another thought... it probably needs the pollen filter out as well...

Can't remember the price off the top of my head but think it was about £4.

Probably a bit late, but I've used the ones from aldi. You have to put the aircon on full recirc on the lo setting.

It might also be helpful to tape the button down, cos the little clip thing is a bit pants and doesn't hold the button fully down.
