Heavy Steering fabia vrs LE...

Featured Replies

Hey ppl, got myself a Fabia vrs LE about 2 months ago, pure love it lol

Just a wee question about the power steering, i think its beginning to get a bit heavy i.e just not as light as it was a few days ago, i dont think im imagining it but still not sure...

Im not too up on the power steering units but can they be "topped up" or changed etc? The motor is still under warranty maybe it wud be worthwhile getting skoda to check it out??

Any ideas wud be a gr8 help

Battery has to come out to check PAS fluid, really stupid design. If you haven't got a PAS warning light, check tyre pressures are OK. Also have car battery checked, PAS can draw 60 amps at times. Also check for corrosion on the really big fuses on the top of the battery.

Thanks for reply : )

Just checked tyres and battery and they are fine, no corrosion on fuses, my tyres are Kumho 205/45 R16 and pressure hasn't changed since i got car. No warnings light on dash which is good. Maybe I am imagining it tho.... just feels slightly heavier than normal..
