What is the threaded hole for on the inlet mani?

Featured Replies

I was looking at another vRS's engine bay over the weekend and noticed what looked like a drilled hole in the right hand end of the inlet manifold. Looking closer the hole only appears to go halfway through the wall of the inlet and is threaded. I checked mine and it is the same. So what's the hole for? Sensor which isn't fitted to our cars?

It's for the cable guide on cars with cable throttles. I'll find a picture to show what I mean....
