WRC on Dave and that Neil Cole prat

Featured Replies

Is he probably the most annoying presenter of any show of all time? All he wants to do is rabbit on and on and on, talk about himself with generally unheard of guests, and make these exceedingly unfunny one liner quips. Obnoxious little man. :thumbdwn:

As for the coverage, I haven't actually worked it out exactly, but I reckon we get no more than about 15 minutes of actual and relevant rally action in 1 hour of adverts and general sleep inducing drivel.

Sort it Dave, or get it back on the Beeb.

I agree, I stopped watching on Dave for that very reason

I presume from your post...reading between the lines ;), that coverage is available elsewhere?

Eurosport, which I haven't got ? :rotz:

I don't have sky so I wouldn't know

at least we know where the rally coverage is these days , it was BBC, then ITV , then channel 4, then nothing iirc

Got that wrong then ey?

Do what I'm now doing.

Record it, and then watch later, skipping through all the crap when his piggy eyed little face appears, oh and adverts of course.;)

International motorsport in general is a dying sport now I sadly think. The FIA and MSA have managed to tie the whole thing up into just a ruddy great money making circus now, with a stuff the spectators attitude.

I used to go out religiously every November for decades, standing in the great forests of GB in the dark hours of early morning, fog rain or snow, either spectating or marshalling on the great British Lombard RAC rally.

Awesome annual 4-500 dash and continuous adventure, overflowing with anticipation and excitement for me and tens of thousands of others. Cooking breakfast in the woods, stumbling through the trees at 03:00 am with a fast fading torch, soaking wet, freezing cold and totally knackered.

Oh those were the days, or am I just getting too old?

What is it now though? A flamin' little sprint by comparison.

Haven't been out there to watch it for 9 years now, and no longer have the desire to watch this dumbed down H&S regulated farce.

Not really even worth watching on tv now either it seems. So sad really.:rotz:

I don't get that annoyed about it, but it could be better, yes. But the way I look at it is that at least there's coverage available somewhere! I just series record it on the digibox and then skip all the ads

And yes, crying shame about the Lombard - why o why did they have to change it? Used to enjoy going out round the NW watching bits of it :(

There's always this I suppose. Roger Albert Clark Rally

However, even they want 90 quid off you for a 4 day pass to go and stand in the forests. Unbloodybelievable. :rotz:

Ah the modern face of motorsport :thumbdwn:

Graham Norton would run him pretty close :thumbdwn:

Indeed! I can think of more annoying people to present it....

How about that bloke who did Fifth Gear from the Ace Cafe a couple of series ago? I can't remember his name, but he did start of his first episode by saying he knew nothing about cars. I had very dark thoughts about how to dispose of him....

The Tim Lovejoy guy?

Mind you, the current 'non specialist' on 5th Gear at the moment should be taken out and shot as well!

Who's that then? That fat bloke with the scruffy long hair, trying to impersonate Clarkson with his sad one liners?

Marginally better than Cole though I suppose, just.

Where did Cole come from anyway?

Wish he'd go back, wherever it was.

No, Tim Shaw is apparently his name:

FiveFWD - Tim Shaw's profile

I don't find Tom Ford that bad actually - his writing and reviews elsewhere I find are pretty good. That's the fat bloke you describe, by the way!

Steve

Oh you won't like this Mr Ree! Have a look here:

The Neil Cole Show

Comedian, actor, TV presenter and DJ apparently!

Comedian?!!

Well I suppose that statement of 'fact' is quite funny in itself.

His so called comedy quips on WRC are quite frankly the pits.:rotz:

Tom Ford? Yea, I suppose he's ok really, just mildly nauseating (sp)

Trouble is, I/we compare him to the brilliant and most likeable rebellious Clarkson...well I luv him anyway, in a manly sort of way that is. :P

Tiff and Plato are pretty well ok, but not too fussed on miss munter with that highly irritating guffaw of hers.
