Brb..................:)

Famous last words! :P

You back yet :)

Now I would be impressed if it could be completed in 3 minutes!

I'm guessing Windows 7 in going on in place of Vista?!

Then there is the set up... if anything like vista it will take like an hour of starting and restarting to get it going...

Should this thread have been titled 'Hasta la vista' :D

You back yet :)

I am ...........................

But I'm going again.........

:rotz::rotz:

I've been running Windows 7 for about the last 5/6 months, far superior to Vista, not had any issues so far, and all programs run/work as they should as well.

Ker-ching................... all done again

30 mins, not bad, 64 bit Win 7.

Fluff-T FTW;)

Its wierd. I got a new laptop recently that had vista on it, was all prepared for IT Hell, but nothing. Its been completely painless.

My XP disk hasn't come out of its wrapper yet, as i havn't really noticed any problems with Vista yet.

That said, i have a free upgrade to Window 7, so i might try and install that when it comes out.

7 rocks.

That is all.

I've got W7 RC on my Acer One with 1.5gb RAM. Runs great.

First impressions...............................

Very nice, although very vistaish.

loaded in my .pst file, loaded on nero 9, that took hours due to the windows installer shutting down every few mins but it still installed ???

Very fast OS although this maybe due too it ready my 4 gig correctly now.

I'm quite pleased all round.

The best part was the price !!!

Vista is fine now mate, it had a troubled birth :) not helped by hardware manufacturers not getting their arses into gear and producing drivers for Vista when the SDK/DDK was available for 12 months prior to launch.

7 just takes things up a level in terms of performance and flexibility.

I'm still running Nero 7 ultimate on my Windows 7 box at home without problems. Go and switch of User Account Control mate, just msconfig it, you will find it

I like it!

Can't wait to get my copy of Windows 7 through now!

Phil

Cheapest way to get this??

i have vista ultimate just now, may just settle for home premium :P

Can't work it out either way, but some of your posts give the impression you are a student (or just finished).

If you still are, (or any others read this) try; International School Search. Where I intend to get mine from when I get a password off uni - total cost - £0. Also has XP, Vista, Server 2003, 2008, various Office bits as well. ;)

Can someone sum up in simple terms the difrerence between 7 Home and premium?

I am going to get one or the other, just need to know which way I should go?

Nice. However, I it says computing department - different school. I will have to enquire about this. Yes I am a 5th year university student (doing extra modules since there is no work in my field)

Mines listed twice for some reason as well, each with a slightly different choice of software, but I dunno why.

Glad someone agrees!...

Win 7 is just vista with bells really... itll get a better reception because now all the vista drivers etc have matured... plus with M$ selling it for pre-order for £50... its the first O/S ive actually ever bought

Theres still a few bits n bobs that cause issues... eggbox doesnt play nice with media centre etc.. but i bet that is sorted before the end of this month
