Tyre pressure???

Featured Replies

howlong does it take for tyres to warm up, i have to drive to the petrol station to get my tyres checked, its lesser then1/2 km of a drive , is that enough to warm up the tires?

I think you'll be fine over that distance. I'm sure I read somewhere that anything less than a mile is fine for cold temp measurements.

It depends on what are your targets.

On my estate,I've been driving 2.8 front and 3.1 rear as per magic62's suggestions for more than a year and my garage congratulated with me for how even tires got used.

According to dsr's calculations this means you're running 40.6 psi on the front and 45 psi rear – seems a little bit excessive to me.

I run 32psi all round but if we go on hols (2 adults, 1 kiddy, boot full of luggage) I set them at 34psi

with 29psi in the front & 30 in the rear tyres u re not getting uneven wear? which tyre size are u running? thanks..

Running Falkens, 18", on previous tyres I noticed that any higher I'd wear centres quicker....saying that I think I followed the guidlines on the Petrol flap the last day and went higher on front than rears.

95% of my driving is back roads.

F29 R30 is enough to protect those 18" rims on bad roads? which year octy do you have? thanks.

I have Falkens on 18s and I'm running something like 32-33 psi all round with no uneven wear to speak of.

Not had much trouble, but have found going much harder gives a much harsher ride. I'm sure hitting the right pothole will damage them, but that type of an impact on harder tyres....well something has to take the bang.

Mines a 2006, not sure what that is in UK year plate no's (I'm in Ireland).
