Trying to buy one of these and I have come across a problem

Three are race blue grey leather and the colour is light blue mettalic

One is race blue black leather and the colour is dark blue mettalic

All from SKODA DEALERS

Will the real SE stand up please

I thought they were all the same?

With Skoda UK national search for your car, can you purchase from one dealer a car that is held at another dealer ?

I have emailed dealers and got no replies from any of them,

I do not really want to drive a thousand miles if I do not have to, and it is thirty miles to ask my dealer in person

It is difficult buying at a distance,

I can not commit to buying until I have seen it, yet by the time I have driven there it is sold, I missed a good one on Saturday by an hour

What am I doing wrong?

I am willing to leave a deposit, so long as on inspection it is what it says on the tin I WILL buy it

Genuine SE is Race Blue which is a dark blue. Black Leather seats, and the seats show the cars number (1-1000)

They should be the colour below

The above post is correct - Please do also watch out and make sure it isn't car number 287. It's listed as stolen.

They are probably described differently but will look the same. For example, the black leather could look grey under certain lights and whether the paint is dark blue or light blue is in the eye of the beholder. I'd say it was neither, it's more medium blue, haha!

Somehow I do not fancy the private reg one P700PMH and in racer city HULL

HPI Check would not return anything about car or plate

The one in Norwich says black cloth seats

AND the one I WANT huddersfield will not move on delivery it is personal visit only

Even though it is advertised on National Skoda, and Skoda approved, Skoda say you

can buy anycar from the pool, but DK KEITH will not release it to my dealer

Oh well cash back in the wallet and keep looking, only like me they will not get any younger

The one in DM Keith is probably the same one they had in when I got mine in June - about £10.5k IIRC? Thought it was overpriced then!

And if you end up getting the one with a private plate, you can either try to sell it on when you get the car (will cost you £105 to retain it), or just release it back to the DVLA and get the original plate put back on it (free).

For these SE searches, just get each seller to give you a photo of the seat number. At least you can get some confidence that way, and also check it against the register on here

Very interesting about the private plate, What puts me off, is it appears meaningless to me an old fart P700PHM ? and it would suggest it has been abused , cap on back to front and raced around Hull aka police five take two Hull

If it was clean and back on original plate I would buy it on Monday

There is one original that I can not take as it is a trade deal, states only done 6k and is 2k less at £8500

Stress, I have seen the cars I want, on the National SKODA site but none of the garages will realease the car to my local SKODA dealer (I have mailed SKODA UK about this)

My problem is I need to trade my O4 VRS, along with cash settlement

As we are talking a seven hundred mile trip,

A. I have not seen the car I want to buy. so can not realistically put a deposit down to save it for me until I get there, incase it is not as advertised on the tin, Though SKODA APPROVED should be OK

B, They have not seen my car to give me a PX Price so I do not know how much cash to take with me (transfer shares into my bank account) or if the offer is acceptable

C, Travel and mileage is not a problem, as I used to drive 3k miles a week in the company car

D. Roadfund licence, I can only get down on Sat or Sun, I can arrange my insurance to cover, but last time I bought they could not tax the car until I had insurance for it, and you can not tax a car on Sat a'noon or Sunday can you?

E. Even if I buy blind as it is SKODA APPROVED, they have not seen my car and given me a trade in price so I do not know if I can afford the difference,

They will not be able to TAX it until I have shown them insurance

I can not afford to go down this weekend to see it and get a trade in price then go down another weekend to pick it up

And I doubt if I did they would accept your offer to bring it halfway up to me and take mine back to them :-) Unless you are DM Keiths mechanic :-)

I want the VRS SE at the mileage offered, as it will be the last car I buy, as on Gods register to die shortly (it is an age thing) to take me bimbling about in my retirement

Other than that I will just happily accept what I have got as it is a fine car for my needs

Dear me... well at least you'll go out with a smile my friend, the SE is a great car.

Oh well I lost it, the DM Keiths one 20k, at £11k

The trade in on my 04 VRS was less than the ten year scrappage almost :-)

and I only have £6k spare, so the difference was too great, to trade up

Result, I am just going to run Furby as she is, and spend the cash on detail,valet, and leather

But if I come into money I will have the SE that I have always wanted one day :-(

OT now as I think this shoud be in roadside hotel or something cafe
