Hmm, do you think that my White VRS will arrive with optional blue lights?

... or an optional orange light on the top saying "TAXI"?

:)

Depends which options boxes you ticked ;)

Steve

Staffordshire rozzers just took delivery of 6 new white vrs 170 diesels. I imagine they're being 'tweaked' as we speak so expect to see 'em on the M6 pretty soon!!

Those Staffs Skodas certainly won't be used on the motorway!

Why?

And are they going to be unmarked or treated to the full batenburg treatment? :)

:D

it's not an SE or an elegance !!

Doesn't mean there aren't vRS taxis about - believe me! :)

They're not motorway cars!

What do they use them for then? Expand :)

Interceptors??

Pizza recovery vehicles?

Interceptors??

Divisional Roads Policing I assume!

Last summer, I noticed an S4 and a driver enjoying his ride (all windows opened and the engine on high revs at about 120 miles an hour), some minutes later a vRS of the Belgian police, giving it all he got, trying to get hold of the S4.

Then, I told the children that dad was buying himself a car like that (I stress 'like', considering my 1.6 tdi). Were they impressed...

Seems to me that police like the Skoda everywhere!

Suffolk police have an unmarked 06 Silver Mk2 estate, debadged. The fact it had the vrs bumpers but no badge on the front grill told me something wasn't right when it followed me. You could just about see something was in the windscreen, but not what. That and a small black box (assuming camera) on the rear. They've done a really good job on hiding the lights, I had no idea where they were located until it lit up like a christmas tree as it disappeared off on call.

Its the 'ANPR car' (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) so make sure that your tax/insurance is up to date ;) and its missing grille badge is due to repaired 'accident damage' when a stopped vehicle decided its only option was to reverse sharply before driving off :thumbdwn:

That may be why some keep the vRS badge on. If those in the know spot the bumper without the badge they'll guess something's up.
