1.9 Sdi. Dead as a doorknob but should be the easiest car I've ever had to run :D

I know absolutely nothing about Skoda or Fabias tbh so I have a few questions. What are the usual mods and not so usual? What parts are interchangeable from VW, Audi and Seat? Can a Mk4 Golf interior fit right in? And what Alloys can fit over? Cheers.

5 hours, 58 views and not a single reply. Surely someone has something to say lol

no other interior will fit apart from a fabia's..unless your prepared to make new seat runners then anything will fit...most vag 5x100 alloys will fit as long as not to wide.

Damn, retrim is the way forward then. Thanks for that mate.

Hello and Welcome to this Forum.

The car looks nice , although Black ones (like mine) do show the muck up. You are right in saying the 1.9 SDI is dreadfully slow, but on the other hand it is very economical to run.

Mods: Being a non turbo it's probably no point in re-mapping it to get more power as there is no turbo boost to increase, (it's been asked before, so do a search). Easy mods are putting a wider air intake from a Seat Ibiza Cupra PD160 and fitting an aftermarket panel air filter (eg K&N, Green, Pipercross etc) which helps a bit.

Suspension wise, Powerflex bushes, Koni FSD shocks and if you want it lowered Eiback springs or of course Coil-overs. People do fit bigger brakes to vRSs, but I'm not sure about yours.

Styling wise: SEAT Cupra front splitter, Aero wipers, VW Polo rear aero wiper are all common. I'm sure the 16 inch vRS wheels will fit your car. I am not sure about the interior, so use that search button at the top of the page.

Unusual mods... well er... look at Jason's car (Devonutopia), he has turned a 100BHP TDI into a 260 BHP Mongrel. There are a few Fabia vRS Estates too.

HTH  I hope the wait was worth while, lol

Don't think I'll touch anything performance wise just yet, still 18 so don't want insurance to be a killer lol

Cheers, I'll look into all those now. I'm thinking more 17 inch tho, trip to my local alloy place should sort me out.

Don't suppose you know the model of polo and ibiza?

Welcome.

Polo model is 9n or 9n2 (mk6 onwards), was hoping to do the same with mine, as the vRS interior does not withstand dirt very well.
