Fl parking sensor query?

Featured Replies

Here's a picture from my FL vRS with front and rear parking sensors showing the display on the Bolero. You'll see that each of the four sensors is shown independently, indicating which sensor is nearest the detected object. The bars turn red when you get within about 370mm (or 15") from the object.

If you've got maxidot you can also select a different tone for the front and rear sensors, so you can tell audibly which end of the car has detected the obstruction. Not used this feature as yet, but I imagine it can useful when manouvering in tight spaces.

That's really nice - far better than on the Stream. Aren't there 4 sensors on the rear though? I've got 4 on my back bumper for sure but the display on both the Stream and Bolero only shows 2 'areas' at the rear of the car graphic. Either that or they're not all lit up on that photo.

Yes there are 4. I had a close look when I had a test drive

If only rear sensors fitted the display is turned round 90 degrees and the 4 sections have a bigger portion of the Bolero screen and IMO is easier to see

Yes there are 4 rear sensors, the display being the same as at the front.

That photo was taken while parked in my drive. The front sensors are all on because I park about 75mm from a wall; the rears are picking up gates that around 600mm away, but there's nothing in range of the outer ones.

thanks..

Yes AFAIK there is a button to activate the fronts has a P^ on it, the rears are activated in reverse
