Hi, i was wondering if anyone can help me with this problem

my alternator went a few weeks ago replaced with a new one and new battery since then my dash dials keep resetting to zero, the tape player stopped working including the cd changer, i've checked both fuse boxes none blown. mechanic could not find the problem to it either, he said maybe he could re wire the tape player to the battery?
