maped limited torque v mapped with clutch and high torque

Featured Replies

anyone ever done a performance comparison between remapped fabias with the limited torque on a standerd clutch and remapped ones which are running higher torque?

not sure, but I would think the higher torque would make quite a difference, mine has 314lbs/ft and seems to perform on the road way better than the 158bhp would suggest.... but then the RR map shows it at above 150bhp all the way from 2,500 revs to 4,500 revs.....

no one got any views?

my fabia at the ring with 176bhp and 346 ft lbs pulled away from the similar bhp fabias with around 300ft lbs for fun,it did make quite a bit of difference and that was from a standing start, when on the move the difference became even more noticable

so how much of an affect do ya think the higher torque cars have on 0 to 60?

don't know really, mine ran a 6.2 seconds to 60 at york raceway but that was with the diff and clutch fitted so not really a fair comparison as i could launch in second and still get traction off the line

would be interstin to see a straight line rag between standard, mapped, and mapped with clutch.
