Anyone used: Zymol Glasur Glaze

Featured Replies

Just seen this on a few sites and it mentions it being specifically developed for german paint (including Porsche) and just wondered if anyone had either used it or knew someone who had...

Zymol Glasur Glaze - Zymol complete product listing - More Than Polish

I know its a bit pricey... but if its something that will make the paint stand out, then am willing to give myself an early xmas pressie :rofl:

dont know about slippery slope.. am on a vertical drop at the minute lol

Never used that one, Have tried Carbon which I didnt rate any more than waxes less than half the price,

I think the Ital,Volvo etc. ranges are a bit gimmicky, I do use Concours but thats a bit more still, very good however, and you do get what you pay for with Zymol in the shape of longevity and depth.

For the money you are looking at spending you really cant go far wrong with a pot of supernatural IMHO.

I personally think that 'specifially developed for' is just marketing rubbish, especially when talking about modern paint finishes..slightly more relevant when referring to classic cars with single stage paint pre 1960's.

I used to have a pot of Glasur & Concours chilling in the fridge at the same time, as with anything paint related the finish is all in the prep.

Used both waxes on the same car many times & you couldn't tell the difference in the end result.

Both are easy to apply (by foam applicator) & if waxing outside ideally need to do a panel or 2 @ a time rather than whizzing round the car, doing the whole car in one go.

Durability wise there was hardly anything in it, maybe Concours shades it by a week.

One thing to note is that the Concours used to 'outgas' far more than the Glasur & you'd have to go round the car with a microfibre and Field Glaze to remove after a couple of hours.

They do smell good though - Glasur (coconut) & Concours (cinnamon)

Personally I'd save your cash & look to something like the Raceglaze 55 from the same site as your link above:)

I already have the following waxes which i bought recently:

collinite 476

Dodo Juice Blue velvet

and before these i bought Poorboy's natty's blue , which ill use on my dads older car now

Just wondered if there was anything that bit more 'special' to treat my paint with... and to make it stand out that little more than standarad, but like you say Chris a lot of the finish is in the polishing stage, and it needs a good machine polishing!!

As it desperately needs that before applying that type of expensive wax :thumbup:

If I were you I would just invest in some Z8 as that adds loads to any finish, then if your still not happy get yourself some Z2 to replace your Collinite and Dodo.........:D

Everyone has their own opinion of what products work best on what colour, etc and it's like modifying your car, you like what you like and other people like what they like.........:o

I think if you did spend a little more then you wouldn't be disappointed in Z8, it's my favourite.........
